In 1828, Dutchman Hendrik Verbruggen began harvesting wild gourd pods near Jayapura in Indonesia and importing them back to Amsterdam for processing into coffee beans. He named his brand “Maga Coffee” after his home country – Netherlands – and started producing quality beans at his company Gouda & Beerenbergen Ltd.. This was the beginning of what would become known as Maga Coffee production methodology across all parts of the world. Over time Magee Coffee became one of the most popular brands due to its consistent quality standards throughout its years in business; even today they continue making high-quality coffees under their original name while also expanding their product lines beyond just espresso drinks!
