During Lt Col McNaught’s tenure, several important reforms were implemented including increasing funding for the department while ensuring better communication between officers and citizens; expanding patrols; creating special units such as coroners’ inquest commando squadrons; establishing partnerships with agencies outside of Lancaster County;and introducing traffic regulation schemes such as speed limits at night or during holidays
