The United States Air Force (USAF) deploys a variety of gifts to its service members, both in the form of small presents and larger items such as airplanes. This paper will discuss one example from Irmo, South Carolina where an USAF gift history is being written. In 1967, the USAF donated an F-105D fighter jet to the Irmo Police Department. The plane has been used for many years by the Irmo Police Department and is still in use today. In 2006, the USAF donated another F-105D to the Irmo Fire Department. The plane is also used by theIrma Fire Department and has been featured on numerous occasions during emergency situations. In 2009, yet another F-105D was donated to the Irmo Police Department; this time it was gifted as part of a military appreciation program for local law enforcement officers who have made significant contributions to American society over the years. Since its donation date in 1967, there have been many changes and updates to the F-105D fighter jet that have been given to various agencies throughout South Carolina. Some of these updates include: new engines installed in 2009; replacement windows installed in 2006; mounting a camera system on top of each engine nacelles in 2004; and installation of an electronic cockpit display unit (ECU) in 2003. A few examples from this particular gift history are as follows: In 1969, while serving with First Lieutenant Michael Lomas’ squadron at RAF Mildenhall AFB UK, he received his first USAF aircraft when he received his Lockheed P-3C Orion maritime patrol aircraft! He flew it back home successfully after more than 4 hours flying time! Captained by Captain Don Browning with First Lieutenants Tom Sizemore and Randy Coyle providing air support, they destroyed two targets off shore using their arsenal of weapons including .50 caliber machine guns and bombs! This was only Captains Browning’s second aerial mission with USAF which included success against enemy ships at sea – previously he had flown missions with US Navy pilots! The P-3Cs were eventually retired from service but remain preserved along side other Lockheed Aircraft legacy across America

On Dec. 5, 1951, the United States Air Force deployed a gift to Irmo, South Carolina in commemoration of the city's role in World War II. The gift was an airplane hangar and its contents were donated by the City of Irmo to the USAF Museum at Wright-Patterson AFB.
Irmo is a town in Spartanburg County, South Carolina, United States. The population was 1,564 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Columbia metropolitan area. Irmo is located on U.S. Route 41 and State Highway 20 near the border of Lee and Spartanburg counties. The Irmo community began as a small cluster of log cabins on a bluffs overlooking the then-undeveloped town site in 1887. Loggers built more than 100 cabins over a period of several years until most were destroyed by fire in 1903. Many homes still stand today including the original post office building (1893) and two churches - First Baptist Church (1902) and Second Presbyterian Church (1920). Located about three miles from I-85, Irmo became an important stop for travelers during World War II when military housing was available nearby on Anson Road and Hammonds Ferry Rd.. A large airfield was also developed nearby for use by military planes staging out of Greenville Airport during World War II; this led to the nickname "Grumbly Airport" because many of the wooden buildings used there survive to this day. After the war, much development took place in Irmo with farmland being turned into housing developments such as Westview Estates which would later become one of Columbia's most vibrant neighborhoods In 1951, Irmo voters passed an ordinance allowing supermarkets to open up shop within city limits without having to obtain a permit from their respective county commissioners; this decision facilitated growth within downtown Irmo while preserving its historical character In 1980, after more than 40 years as an unincorporated community, IrMO incorporation occurred under state law effective November 1st On January 1st 2003 - Veterans Day - progress had been made towards becoming fully incorporated with full access to all government services including local school systems and health care On July 8th 2006 - National School Lunch Month - residents voted overwhelmingly in favor of passing resolutions supporting national school lunch laws through both houses of Congress . As part as celebrating these milestones in history, summerfest will be held annually at Red River Beach from June 15 thru 19th
The United States Air Force (USAF) deploys a diverse array of gifts to its deployed personnel, Branch and Squadron level commanders, families and friends. The USAF takes pride in their gift history and tradition of giving back to the community. Beginning in 1947 when the USAF was created as an air arm of the Army, it has always been one of America's premier service providers. With over 160 years of experience in providing aerial refueling, bomber support and intelligence gathering capabilities, the USAF is a vital part of American society. One way thatthe USAF provides tangible services to society is through deployment gifts. Deployment gifts are unique items or objects that represent support from the USAAF to its deployed members during their deployments or while they are on duty overseas. Some specific examples include clothing, tools and equipment, meals and beverages, military vehicles or aircraft parts or even just simple tokens of appreciation. During World War II the RAF supplied RAF pilots with Spitfires which were then used by USAAF pilots for combat missions over Europe. This led to RAF Wing Commander JG Ballard flying his first combat mission as an American pilot in England on 8 October 1943; he became operations officer at RAF Odiham before being transferred to RAF Middle Red Arrows at Northolt where he flew Spitfires within No. 4 Group flying Training Command exercises until 25th May 1944 when he took command of No 4 Group itself becoming operational commander on 15th June 1944 - this was followed by 1st Bomber Command operations against Japan from 18/25 September 1945 until Eighth Air Force surrendered on 2 August 1946). In 1948 USAFE supplies United Kingdom Aircrew Association (UKA) with C-47 Skytrain transports for use by UKA during Operation Paperclip which saw USAFE provide two Boeing 707 Aircraft belonging to British Second Tactical Air Force (BTAAF) under license from Boeing Aircraft Company Limited (BAC). Although Britain no longer exists as a separate country its memory remains with us through UKA using these aircraft during our many visits over the years including flights into Scotland via Edinburgh Airport! Throughout NATO's Cold War era there was continual need for air transportability within alliance forces so each member state contributed either military Airlift Program jets such as those operated by Airbus Helicopters AG or civilian Airlift Program planes like those operated by Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Co., Inc.. These type helicopters providedlift capability both into theatres such as Norway during The Frozen Door operation between 16th February-25th March 1979 when large quantities of weapons convoys arrived at Narvik prior to Operation Springbok; also involved were rotations around Iceland throughout springtime 1980 used for medical evacuations following earthquakes in Iceland etc.; Helicopter crews flew over various nuclear sites including Ataria Plant near Sintra Portugal during Exercise Northern Edge involving Royal Danish Navy ships; NATO exercise Southern Watch involving Spanish Naval vessels off Ibiza Spain; flypast events Halley’s Comet landing site near Canterbury New Zealand July 1990 etc.). Today's airborne delivery options include unmanned Aerial Vehicle Delivery System (UAVDS) technology meaning that small packages can be delivered directly onto battlefield areas without any Soldiers havingto leave their positions! In response to America's global role in today's world duelling faiths and cultures across continents through partnerships such as NATO airstrikes against targets inside Yugoslavia using Eurocopter AS 595M/P models flown from bases in Romania & Bulgaria; numerous cooperative security measures have been put into place since 9/11/2001 thru mutual sharing information thru Joint Terrorism Task Forces (JTTF); Unified Domestic Surveillance program jointly operated with Canada utilizing F-15 Eagle fighter jets equipped with advanced facial recognition software activated several times daily day & night monitoring domestic locations worldwide.......It goes without saying that w e take great pride in our gift history compiled herebelow & believe that every Soldier serving abroad deserves nothing butthe best.................
