Since the beginning of the 20th century, the United States Air Force has been deploying gift baskets and other items to commemorate civilians and military members who have served or are serving in our country. Each year, we celebrate air force deployed gift history with a variety of events and activities throughout Cayce. This year’s celebration begins on Saturday, December 2nd with a patriotic parade which will travel down Main Street to SC State University where a reception will be held for guests. The following day, there will be an air show at the nearby Palace of Auburn Hills which is home to the NFL’s Detroit Lions football team. There will also be a memorial service for those who have died in service at Fort Jackson Cemetery in Florence, South Carolina. Over the next several days, there will be numerous events throughout Cayce that celebrate air force Deployed Gift History. On Sunday, December 3rd, local businesses will hold “Gift Baskets Open†from 10am-3pm in order to collect donations for local troops and their families present overseas. Throughout Monday and Tuesday, many residents are invited to come out and enjoy food trucks from various restaurants across town while listening to live music at various locations (including the IMAX Theatre). Later this week, community members are invited to come out into downtown Cayce and participate in art installations along Main Street as part of an ongoing project called “Cayce Chronicles: A Streetscape Projectâ€. Finally on Wednesday morning, all residents are urged to bringhullabaloo by participating in a mass singalong at First Baptist Church before dismissal for lunch!
The USAF Deployed Gift Program was created in 1978 as a way to show appreciation for service. The program allows members of the USAF to purchase items such as camping gear, vehicles, and toys for other members stationed abroad. In recent years, the program has become more popular because it allows civilians to enjoy military-related products while they are away from home. Toy purchases include both children’s toys and adult toy favorites like planes, trucks, and boats.
On Dec. 5, the South Carolina Air National Guard deployed a gift history to support Operation Christmas Tree. The unit took delivery of cannons and other military hardware from the Texas Army National Guard as part of the installation's holiday decorating program.

In 1951, it adopted its current name - South Carolina - and took over management of its own government. In 1976, Cayce voters passed an ordinance recognizing Christianity as the official religion of the town. The town also offers instruction in Christianity at various institutions such as churches and schools. In 2007-08, CayCE opened its new $5 million library which houses more than 350 000 items including books, journals and other materials relating to religious studies
The USAF deployed gift history in 1969. It was an effort to show appreciation for the servicemen and women who serve our country. Cayce is a town in Spartanburg County, South Carolina, United States. The population was 2,352 as of the 2010 census. Cayce was founded in 1892 by Methodist missionaries from Scotland. It is named after mediumship lecturerextracted from Cayce Creek on the plantation where he grew up. The town's first school was built in 1892 and its first post office opened in 1893. The town itself was organized on December 12, 1896 when a group of citizens petitioned for incorporation. In 1898, Cayce had its first water system installed and also acquired its own jail and fire department. In 1907, the town acquired their own press and began to print their own newspapers- "The Weekly Sentinel" and "The Evening Courier". In 1916, Cayce annexed nearby Greenwood which at that time had a population of 1,500 people but now has over 16,000 residents according to the 2010 census. In 1922 while fighting World War I with the United States military there were several bombings throughout Spartanburg County including one near Cayce which destroyed an ammunition depot; this event led to increased security measures being put into place including limiting civilian access to certain areas within the county limits during wartime
Cayce was founded in 1795 by John Cayce. The town was named after the Virgin Mary, who is said to have appeared to Cayce in a dream. In 1824, Cayce College was established and remains one of the most popular educational institutions in South Carolina today.
