After the end of World War II, the United States Air Force (USAF) was created and began to deploying large numbers of personnel and equipment to various locations around the world. One of these deployments was to the Middle East in support of Operation Overlord, which resulted in the capture of Nazi Germany. In addition to providing air support for the Allied Forces during Operation Overlord, USAF also flew transport missions between England and France and helped contain German forces in Northern Europe. The RAF's Lancaster Bomber Command was responsible for conducting many successful strategic bombing raids on German targets during World War II. After the war, RAF Bomber Command was merged with USAAF daylight bombing operations under General Dwight D Eisenhower's command as American Strategic Bombing Survey (ASBS). This merger saw American bomber aircraft become dominant over British bombers in strategic warfare, leading to increased bombings against Japan during World War II. Additionally, USAF deployed Boeing B-52 Stratofortresses into Korea as part ofOperation Pentagon; this operation helped bring an end to Korean War hostilities.

Anderson was a small town in Spartanburg County, South Carolina, United States. The community was founded in 1836 by Daniel Anderson and his wife Nancy. It grew rapidly with the discovery of coal mines in the area. By 1870, Anderson had a population of 1,500 people. The town declined during the 20th century due to its proximity to larger cities and its lack of industry. However, it has experienced a resurgence in recent years as businesses have moved back to Anderson and new residents have arrived to revive the community. Anderson is located at 33°26′N 82°10′W (33.5667 degrees N, 82.3167 degrees W). It lies along Interstate 85 just south of Exit 221 on State Route 221A. According to the 2010 census, Anderson has a total area of , all land. The first evidence that humans were living in this area is found in projectile points dating from about 12,000 years ago which suggest early human occupation of this region. In 1836, Daniel Anderson donated land for what would become Anderson Township and named it after himself and his wife Nancy. The first post office was established here on October 16, 1837; it was called New Hope because it was located near the newly discovered coal mine near present-day Greenville Courthouse Square (now known as Union Station). During Reconstruction following the Civil War,Anderson became an important center for black political activism due to its white working class population that supported Reconstruction policies such as voting rights for African Americans and abolitionism while also remaining economically active and prosperous within their own society despite originating from rural areas throughout much Southern America. During this time period many African American families relocated from cotton plantation owners' homes into towns like Greenville or Spartanburg counties seeking opportunity and schooling opportunities unavailable to them back home. Some historians argue that these African American migrants helped spur economic growth within local white communities which thenprovided jobs for locals who had formerly been employed by Confederate forces or black laborersGerald Aptheker
According to one report: "during [the late 19th] century some 6 percent of whites worked directly for blacks... After Reconstruction ended with peace talks resulting in Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation on January 1st 1865, most native free blacks left South Carolina permanently or temporarily until they were eventually pardoned by President Andrew Johnson on February 15th 1865.
Daniel & Nancy Anderson operated their vineyard until 1880 when they sold it off bit by bit piece over several years until finally selling it all together around 1890.< ref /> In 1898 they built a new house on current day Main Street according to current plans erected circa 1900-1920 according as part of Pioneer Village development project initiated by Mayor Jackie Leland Lee subsequent History Museum acquisition< ref >< BR /> Despite numerous requests made through history museums across Southeastern South Carolina over several decades there still remains no definitive answer as to why/when this house was built or even if any artifacts associated with it remain extant today.
