Gourmet coffee is a term that typically refers to coffee which has been prepared in very high-quality ways using the best ingredients. This means that the coffee is roasted, ground and brewed with care in order to achieve a unique flavor and texture. There are many different types of gourmet coffee available on the market today, but four main types are: French press, cortado, semisweet and roastmaster. Each type of coffee has its own unique benefits and drawbacks. French press Coffee: The French press is the most common type of gourmet coffee because it produces a thick and rich cup of java. Because of this, French presses provide a more complex flavor than other types of beans making them ideal for those who enjoy strong flavors. However, french presses can be expensive to purchase or use so be sure to budget accordingly if you want to try this type of coffee. Cortado Coffee: Cortados are perfect for those who like their cups quickly served up without having to wait long periods of time for their drink. They come in two variants – small and large – which allow drinkers to customize their cup by choosing how much cream or sugar they add as well as how sweet or bitter they desire their brew. Cortados are also one of the easiest kinds of beans to make at home since all you need is some water, an espresso machine and some grounds. Semisweet Coffee: Semisweet coffees offer a medium-bodied taste with subtle sweetness nuances that makes them great for those who prefer less complex flavors than others in their cupboard. Additionally, these coffees can be enjoyed fresh or frozen making them easy enough to grab when needed rather than having to search through a pile of stale offerings every time you want your fix!
Newport became the first major city in America to experiment with coffee as early as 1638. The Dutch, who had control of much of the New World at the time, began importing Arabica beans from Africa and Java for their coffee shops and other businesses. Coffee was typically ground and sold in small quantities to local merchants. In 1810, a group of investors founded the Newport Coffee House, which served as a meeting place for business leaders in Newport and Rhode Island. In 1825, a new coffee warehouse was built on Meeting Street to serve more people and sell more coffee. In 1854, the first commercial espresso machine was built in Newport by Luigi Beccaria. The popularity of espresso machines helped spur growth in the industry throughout Rhode Island. By 1912, over 60 percent of all coffee sold throughout Rhode Island was exported to Europe or Japan. Coffee production continued until 1974 when it was phased out due to concerns about environmental damage caused by farms operating during that time period.

There is no one answer to this question as coffee has been a part of human culture for centuries. However, the first recorded mention of coffee was in c. 8th century BC when Pythagoras mentioned it in his work “Ode to Apollo”. Coffee gradually spread throughout the ancient world and eventually reached Rome in the 1st century AD. The Roman Empire was home to some of the most influential and well-known coffeehouses in history such as The Colosseum and The Hermitage.
