The Rhode Island National Guard has a rich and colorful history. The guard was created in 1776 as part of the New England Confederation, and fought in the American Revolution. From its inception, the guard was made up of men from all over Rhode Island. In 1847, the Guard was divided into two branches: the Foot Guards and Artillery Guards. Both branches continued to exist until 1927 when they were merged into one unit, the Rhode Island National Guard. Throughout its history, the guard has been known for its excellence in training and readiness. Today, there are more than 3,000 members of the national guard based in Providence alone. The guard is responsible for providing law enforcement services throughout Rhode Island and nearby states. Additionally, it provides support to numerous military operations worldwide. One of the most famous aspects of theguard's history is its annual Christmas party which is often attended by thousands of people from across the state. This event features a variety of activities such as competitive cheerleading ornaments competition; eggnog competitions; food trucks; live music; photos with Santa Claus; and more!

After his victory at Bunker Hill, General John Brown moved his headquarters to what would later be called East Providence. He quickly began to build up the city and it soon became one of the most important commercial centres on the eastern coast of Rhode Island. The growth of East Providence was helped by its location on Narragansett Bay which made it easy for ships to dock and trade with other ports across New England. This also allowed for easy transportation of goods inland which contributed to growing industries in thecity. One such industry that thrived during this time was shipbuilding which employed many immigrants from Europe who were able to find work here. Additionally, many businesses owned by Eastern Europeans opened their doors in these days before store fronts became common place in American cities During World War II, much effort went into creating an artificial harbour off of Point Judith where warships could berth while being repaired or replaced. This project ultimately failed but created jobs for locals while helping Allied troops fight against Nazi Germany Today, East Providence remains an important cultural and economic centre with a rich history that has been preserved through museums, art galleries and businesses
The National Guard has been a part of the United States for over 150 years. The Guard was created on July 15, 1792 when Congress passed an act to create the Military Land System. The Military Land System was a system that allowed for the purchase and donation of military land by states. This system helped to organize and fund the Militia, which was used to protect America from Invasion and War. From its inception, the National Guard has played a vital role in our country. It is through the Guardsmen that we have been able to respond quickly and effectively to crises around the world. In addition to its role in disaster relief, training and readiness, it also provides support services such as law enforcement and public safety. National Guard gift history can be traced back to 1814 when General Nathaniel Banks donated 1 million acres of land in what is now West Virginia for use as a national guard reservation. This event marked not only National Guard’s origins but also gave birth to modern day gifts giving traditions within our country. East Providence, Rhode Island is a city located in the town of Warwick, Rhode Island on the south shore of Narragansett Bay. The population was 31,521 at the 2010 census. The first European settlers in East Providence were Spanish traders and soldiers who arrived in 1636. In 1638, English colonists led by Colonel John Smith established a permanent settlement on what is now Warwick Avenue. In 1643, following an attack by King Philip II of Spain on the Colony of Providence Plantations and its adjacent islands, East Providence became part of New England. The original Dutch settlers also developed here and many buildings still remain from that era including the old Dutch Church which was built in 1659-1660. The first public school was opened in 1701 and during the Revolutionary War (1775-1783) it served as a military hospital for troops besieging Newport Harbor. The city's first mayor was John Dickinson who served from 1797 to 1802; he is also buried at Stroud's Cemetery there. During World War II, much activity took place within the confines of Warwick Navy Yard where tens of thousands of men were Production Unit Employees working on various warships products such as submarines and aircraft carriers; however most residents avoided being directly affected by war because they lived close to home or had other sources of income available outside wartime occupation duty. Although some residents did take up arms against Axis forces during this time period due to their patriotism or support for local patriot allies like Canada or America (e.g., George Washington), most people chose to stay away out fear that open conflict might lead to tightened gun control laws and increased regulatory controls over their lives without any material gain for themselves—a fear often realized during wartime when resources are scarce but citizens feel beholden to government leaders they do not necessarily elect or trust
East Providence was originally settled by English fishermen in 1636. The town was named for the Providence River, which flows through it and is a namesake of the current city. In 1837, the town was incorporated as a city. In 1926, East Providence became part of new Cranston County, Rhode Island.
