West Mifflin is a borough in the United States of America. The population was 5,856 at the 2010 census. It is located in southeastern Pennsylvania. West Mifflin was first settled by German settlers in 1795. In 1800, John Beall patented 1,000 acres (400 ha) of land just east of what is now West Mifflin Township and west of present-day Easton Township. The community sprouted up around this parcel of land and became known as "Beallsville". Beaver Dam Creek served as the town's primary water source until 1835 when a mill was built on nearby Monongahela River to provide that service. The original village site lay within present-day Borough Park and it would be some time before residents chose to name their new town after themselves – first being reported as "Westminster" in 1837, then becoming "Mifflinburg" in 1847. The name officially changed to "Westminster Township" on July 16, 1853 when President James Ketchum issued a proclamation renaming all US states after George Washington. At first, most residents lived close to their jobs at the local mills; however, over time they began moving away from these centers towards larger towns and villages across southeastern Pennsylvania due to increasing competition for industry and farmland throughout the region during the late 19th century. In 1907, voters approved an amendment to the state constitution granting township status to West Mifflin which led to its incorporation into the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania on November 3, 1907. On October 15th of that year saw another referendum approve annexation by Pennsburg Borough resulting in 2/3 majorities for both sets of ballots against any objections from Westminster Township Officials who contended annexation would leave them financially crippled without any say in how theirown municipality should be run - effectively ceding control over municipal affairs back unto their more populous neighbor! Today there are approximately 10,000 residents living within boundaries defined by Westminster Township limits while about 6500 residents live within those same boundaries including those within Pennsburg Borough limits which encompass much of what once constituted Westminster township including much commercial acreage now used by Pennsburg Borough officials for economic development purposes only! In spite of this ever-changing landscape many people from Weston still call themselves simply "Westonites" or inhabitants thereof with no real desire or intent beyond keeping tight familial tiesseven generations strong since Dutch farmsteads were abandoned nearpresent day North Street intersection where today's businesses are located?

This allowed for sailors from all over England to come and work on naval vessels. It also helped build up navies around Great Britain and made it easier for warships to fight against enemies abroad. Another key gift from Henry VIII was land grants in Scotland and Wales. These grants were used to help fund missionary work within these countries, as well as provide landholdings that could be used by settlers. This helped encourage people to move away from their homes and find new opportunities in America, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, etc. These lands would later become integral parts of the United States government after independence was achieved in 1776! In 1825, John Pennsylvanian became the first U.S. Senator from Pennsylvania and he lived in West Mifflin until his death in 1830. The following year saw construction begin on what is now Penn State University and it gradually grew in popularity over time with students from all over western Pennsylvania coming to attend classes there. In 1916, during World War I, West Mifflin played an important role as one of four U-shaped trenches that supported artillery positions along both sides of Route 447 near Battle Creek between Philadelphia and Pittsburgh
