West Mifflin is a small town in Pennsylvania. The population was 1,869 at the 2010 census. It is the seat of West Mifflin Township and it is part of the Pittsburgh metropolitan area. The first Europeans to visit what is now West Mifflin were the French in 1614, when they explored the area during their military expedition known as La Conquête de la Paix. In 1794, Benjamin Franklin was born here, and two years later, John Adams joined him on a trip through this region that served as America's inaugural election campaign. In 1834, surveyors began working on a new road from Philadelphia to Pittsburgh. When that road was completed in 1835, it connected West Mifflin with both cities and made it easier for goods and people to move around within Pennsylvania. The town's incorporation took place that same year under the name of "Mifflin" after Wm. Hinton Mifflin - one of its founders - who had contributed $5 to help finance the project. Today,West Mifflin remains an important center for trade and commerce within southwestern Pennsylvania; its industries include papermaking, engineering services (particularly bricklaying), automotive parts manufacturing and agriculture/forestry products such as meat or milk production. Some residents also maintain professional careers outside of their homes by pursuing interests such as law enforcement or social work; these residents are known as 'professional residents'. There are a total of 20 schools located in West Mifflin: 11 elementary schools (K-6th grades), 3 middle schools (7-9th grades), 2 high schools (10-12th grades). Of these 20 schools', 10 have been ranked among "First Rank" public school districts by Forbes magazine which scramble rankings every few years based on student enrollment average per district; other ranks may be earned through Academic Alliances received from participating school districts) Additionally there are 7 community colleges located in or near Westmoreland County which together offer over 120 courses including vocational training programs specific to economy & technology occupations
The United States Air Force (USAF) is a branch of the military of the United States. It was formed on September 17, 1947 as the Aerospace Forces of the United States. The USAF is one of the five branches of the American military. The USAF has over 180,000 active duty members and 546,000 civilians who support its operations. The USAF traces its origins to World War I when America entered into an international treaty with Great Britain providing air support for their war efforts. The RAF operated from bases in America and France until 1919 when America became self-sufficient in aviation through development of planes and technology by private industry. After World War II, both commercial airlines and militaries cooperated to develop aerial refueling capacity for bombers flying long distances across continents. In 1948, President Harry Truman established two independent service branches: The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) which would conduct space exploration while the Air Force would provide ground support for tactical nuclear weapons tests in Nevada Test Site during Operation Crossroads (1948). This arrangement would remain in place until 1977 when NASA became a part of Defense Management Agency which was also responsible for allocating resources within DoD to ensure that national security requirements were met

West Mifflin is a borough in Pennsylvania, located in the Lehigh Valley. The population was 3,813 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Allentown–Easton, PA, Metropolitan Statistical Area. West Mifflin was first settled by English immigrants in 1682. In 1768, it became part of Dunmore Township and later Clearfield Township. The name "Mifflin" originated from an early settler's farm on the east bank of the Susquehanna River where mills were built for flour and other products. In 1851, West Mifflin became a separate township under control of Allentown. On July 1st of that year, both townships merged to form West Monmouth Borough. The merger was necessitated by the increased population in one town while all neighboring municipalities remained unchanged (except for Clearfield which split off to form its own municipality). The borough has experienced various changes throughout its history; it was first a manufacturing center during World War II before becoming a bedroom community during the late 1960s and early 1970s as manufacturing declined overall in Western Pennsylvania. Since then, job growth has brought new life back to downtown WMMB through development of boutique hotels and restaurants along First Street between Market and State Streets. As part of Pennsylvanian History Month we explore some aspects about what makes West Mifflin unique among PA towns: -It is considered one of "The Five Historic Towns" within Pennsylvania's Historical Bucks County – meaning that since its incorporation into borough status it has seen regular preservation/updating including construction/maintenance projects such as streetscape update after years with no maintenance due to budget cuts or lack thereof – making it more like an historical museum than just another American town today! -All this attention to detail comes despite having only 2 elected officials since incorporation who are responsible for everything from zoning decisions made at city hall down to quarterly financial reports sent up to residents! This type of oversight allows each individual resident ultimate say on how their town functions (and occasionally fails miserably) while also providing valuable insights into how different generations have interacted with each other over time!

The townspeople voted to incorporate as a borough on December 7, 1787. West Mifflin grew rapidly due to its location at the mouth of the Susquehanna River, which made it an important port for goods arriving from New York City and other points south.
