The borough seat moved to the current location of Sharon in 1951. In 1905, Sharon had a population of 309 residents and it had 5 businesses that operated with less than $10,000 in annual revenue. There were only 9 residents who worked for less than $10 an hour during this time period. In 1925, the Sharon School District was organized and it continued to operate until 1972 when it merged into theHuntingdon Valley School District
