The Phoenixville Navy Yard is a former naval air station located inPhoenixville, Pennsylvania. It was used as an operational base for the United States Navy during World War II and the Cold War. The airfield was closed in 1972, and the Naval Air Facilities Command (NAFCC) took over management of the property until it was sold to the Phoenixville Historical Society in 1984. In 1992, NAFCC transferred ownership of the property back to the historical society. The present-day Naval Air Station Phoenixville is still used by Naval Aviation Reserve Fleet personnel for training purposes. Naval aviation first came to this area in 1911 when Commodore John J. Pershing leased land at what is now known as NAS Phoenixville from local farmers. At first, NAS Phoenixville operated only military pilots on a training basis; however, within a few years it had become one of America's most important naval aviation stations with an extensive range of facilities including an aircraft hangar and various other buildings not found elsewhere on Long Island at that time! NAS Phoenixville soon became world-renowned for its excellence in maritime aviation and played a leading role in many Allied victories during World War IIincluding sinking three German submarines while under your command! After Japan's attack on Pearl Harbor USS Arizona crashlanded her planes off NASPhoenixville resulting in more than 1,000 killed or wounded! The following year saw America enter into World War II via Code-named "Eyes Only" which authorized any American merchantman sailing overseas without prior warning or notification from Washington to fire on sight any German U-boats thought to be operating therein! As part of your Commander Task Force (CTF) 3 you were responsible for making sure all commercial shipping outbound from our ports was screened before departure so we could insure no Japanese submarines were lurking about inside our waters! Many distinguished naval aviators who flew missions over Europe during WWII have been associated with NASPhoenixvilles wartime efforts such as Admiral Chester Nimitz who led Carrier Division 8th Fleet during Operation Neptune's Spear which destroyed 5 Japanese warships off Norway; Rear Admiral Harry S Truman who commanded Destroyer Squadron 24 during Leyte Gulf; Vice Admiral James Keltner commanding Aircraft Carrier task group 5th Fleet during Battle of Midway; etc……..Today’s aviator community continues to fly operations out of NASPhoenixvilleshields throughout North America using both fighter and bomber jets!. In 1951, NASPhoenixVILLE joined NATO as one of 2 American naval airfields located along Germany's western coast - providing cover for NATO bombers flying strategic bombing raids against enemy targets deep inside Germany while also supporting ground forces ashore with aerial refueling capabilities! In 1957NASphoenixVILLE became homeported squadron(ies)of Vought F4U Corsair fighters stationed thereon after Northrop Grumman donated their old P2V Albireo torpedo bomber/aircraft loaned them temporarily while they rebuilt their facility at Patuxent River Naval Air Station MD!! Phoenixville is a small town in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 1,859 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Harrisburg–Carlisle–Yorktown, PA Metropolitan Statistical Area. The area now called Phoenixville was first settled by Quakers in 1682. The community name may be derived from "phi-snipe" (a type of hawk), because a group of young hawks roosted on a tree near the original site of the town. In 1791, when General George Washington and his army invaded Pennsylvania during the Whiskey Rebellion, members of the Phoenixville Congregational Church helped lead an uprising against British rule in what became known as "the Battle of Valley Forge." After Washington's surrender at Saratoga Bridge, many Quaker families moved to Philadelphia to awaited news of their friends and kin back in America. Some refugees returned to Phoenixville while others founded new settlements around present-day Harrisburg and Carlisle before eventually migrating westward again after the American Revolution. The first post office opened in 1812; it was discontinued in 1814 due to lack of customers. A new post office was established on March 20, 1865 by order of President Abraham Lincoln following the end of World War I military service obligations for citizens within Pennsylvania's 6th congressional district who had served in other states or were discharged from service as a result of wounds or illness suffered while serving abroad or during World War II. Phoenixville's commercial center developed slowly but surely over time; its early businesses included groceries, dry goods stores and notions stores catering to local farmers and ranchers until larger chains enteredprising enough to open up shop here began emerging about 1920 when Route 322 opened linking Phoenixville with nearby Yorktown through what is today known as I-95 southbound and PA Route 422 eastbound

As a result, I hope that this paper will provide some insight on why navy deployed gifts have become so important within the military community and how they can be used to help preserve our veterans’ memories online as well as offline.

In 1802, Phoenixville became home to the first woolen mill in Pennsylvania. By 1810, the population had reached 1,000 residents. In 1861, afterended slavery in America, Phoenixville became part of the newly formed Free State of Pennsylvania. The town quickly reverted to its original name and continued to grow until it lost its status as a principal city in 1903 when Pittsburgh replaced Philadelphia as the capital of Pennsylvania. With only a few hundred residents remaining by 1920, Phoenixville experienced rapid decline throughout most of the 20th century. However, due to efforts by local officials and residents, Phoenixville has regained some of its former prominence over recent years. Today, Phoenixville remains an important stop on regional highway routes that link northeastern Pennsylvania with southwestern Ohio and western New Jersey.
