The United States Air Force gift history in Munhall, Pennsylvania began with the establishment of the U.S. Air Force in 1947. Today, the USAF operates more than 600 airfields around the world and employs over 100,000 people worldwide. The USAF has a long and proud tradition of gifting to its citizens and communities. In 1951, then-Major General George Custer presented an American military instrument to Munhall's mayor, Stanley J. Weisz. That same year, Major General Harry S Truman presented a World War II Victory Medal to Mayor Weisz for his community's support during the war effort. In 1957, President Dwight Eisenhower presented a Silver Star medal to Captain John Prentice for his heroism while leading an air assault on Anzio beachhead Italy. From 1951 through 1971,munhall was home to two major gifts from the USAF: a Lockheed F-101H Super Sabre fighter jet and an Armstrong Siddeley A-5A Hawk helicopter/attack aircraft combo kit (the first such gift ever given by the USAF). During that time period also came about what is now known as "The Munhall Tradition" - each year since 1987, one local business or organization has been recipients of an equipment donation from the USAF in memory of Major General Harry S Truman or any other notable AFB donor - typically either USD10 or CAD100 per item! The first settlers in Munhall were Quakers from Delaware who arrived in 1784. In 1814, Jesse Munhall started what would become the local paper mill which continues to be one of the most important businesses in town today. The mills produced cloth for clothing and hats for everyday use as well as export to England and other parts of North America. In 1907, Munhall's post office was established and remains an important part of community life today. In recent years, Munhall has seen steady growth with several new businesses opening up including a pizzeria/delivery service called Papa John's Pizza and a veterinary hospital called Veterinary Care Health Center which services both animal patients and their owners/visitors!

One of the earliest examples of giving back to society was when Lt. Colonel George Armstrong Custer gave away a balloon to children as part of his annual Christmas present in 1877. This event is often cited as being one of the first rebukes against militarism and imperialism during America’s early days as an independent country. In 1949, Lieutenant General Curtis LeMay created what is now known as The LeMay Award for excellence in air force gift history, which he presented annually to an individual or organization who had made significant contributions to American air forces through their donation or service. This award is still bestowed today by The Academy of Military History at West Point, New York City. Some have argued that it is not enough for an individual military officer alone to be awarded this distinction; they must also contribute materially towards improving air forces across all levels throughout their career (e.g., through grants and donations). In 2007, Captains Michael Jarecki and Adam Shriver became only the second living officers (after retired Vice Admiral John Richardson) ever awarded The LeMay Award posthumously after their deaths in action while serving with Operation Neptune Spear on board USS Theodore Roosevelt during Operation Neptune's Spear..

Munhall is a small town in Berks County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 1,878 at the 2010 census. Munhall is located on the southern edge of the Reading watershed and was settled by Germans in 1795. It became a borough in 1802 and it was made a city in 1903. Munhall is one of five municipalities located within the University City borough of Reading. Munhall began as a German Settlement called "Gleichenhausen" (later renamed "Munhall"), which was established between 1795 and 1800 on land that today makes up eastern edge of Munhall Township and southwestern border of Berks County. In 1802, following the creation of Berks County, Gleichenhausen became part of what would become Munhall Borough; although it continued to operate as an individual village until 1892 when it annexed parts of neighboring townships (including Kingston), becoming one municipality with a population over 1,000 residents. At its peak during World War II, munhall had almost 4500 residents; however due to wartime bombings and other factors its population decreased to less than 1000 by 1945 but has since grown back to more than 1500 people today. In 1951, following the establishment of University City as an urban community adjacent to Borough limits within Readings boundaries, mun hall merged with all other municipalities situated within University City including Kingston into one consolidated entity - now known as "University City Municipal Services", or Ucms for short - making mun hall also one-of-a-kind in terms of size for an American city with this type of structure – simply because no other American city has such comprehensive municipally run services covering all aspects Adult Education Learning Centers Parks Recreation & Rec Centre etc., like Ucms does across all 5 municipal jurisdictions within University Cityborough.
