The United States Naval Forces in Lebanon (USNFL) is responsible for providing theater-level military support to the Lebanese government and its allies. The navy has been a part of U.S. forces in Beirut since the early 1970s, when it was first established as an amphibious assault ship detachment attached to the 5th Fleet. In 1998, USS Tripoli (LST 924) became the first U.S. Navy vessel to be permanently stationed in Beirut when she served as a dock landing ship and diversionary force during Operation New Dawn, which ended 15 years of Israeli occupation of Lebanon. In 2003, USS Vincennes (LPD 7) joined the Navy’s Expeditionary Force in support of Operation Southern Watch, which aimed to restore democracy and human rights to Lebanon following 25 years of dictatorship by Hezbollah Islamists. The Vincennes operated off Beirut from May through September 2003 conducting law enforcement operations and evacuating patients from hospitals under siege by Hezbollah militants. Shelled positions near Damascus were eventually relieved by Australian warships on October 20,2003 after failed negotiations between the United States and Hezbollah over supply lines into Syria caused serious disruptions in regional security. USS Enterprise (CVN 80), USS Yorktown (CVN 69), USS Carl Vinson (CVN 73), USSpsonney Bay Lighthouse Light Station(KH4ZW) and HMS Oceanus all played significant roles throughout World War II; however their naval deployments have been limited since then due to budget constraints within the Department of Defense generally speaking. The only other deployment occurred when CVAM-19 conducted exercises with Spanish ships off Ceuta on November 3rd 1944 while serving with European Command's Mediterranean Theater Of Operations; this exercise was also done as part of NATO's anti-submarine warfare effort against Nazi submarines operating out of Spain at that time.] In October 2006, USS Enterprise sailed into Beirut Harbor for her seventh visit there as part of Operation Neptune Spear III - an annual joint naval expeditionary operation involving assets from six different fleets led by Commander Fifth Fleet Rear Admiral Harry J Kolbe Jr., Commander Seventh Fleet Rear Admiral David Ferris III., Commander Tenth Fleet Commodore Rickover, Commander Twelfth Fleet Commodore Jeffrey Pogue and Chief Operating Officer First Sea Lord Adm John Richardson III.? The Navy has a long and proud history of deploying gifts to those who serve. The Naval Station Yokosuka deployed a Christmas gift to troops in Iraq in 2003, and the Yokosuka Marine Regiment sent a gift to Marines stationed at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba in 2009. In 2012, the Yokosuka Marine Regiment donated an iPad 2 to the Marines stationed at Camp Pendleton, California. And last year, the Yokosuka Marine Regiment sent a toy submarine to Japan’s Maritime Self Defense Force (MSDF) as part of their “Wishing You All Well” program. There is no doubt that giving something back is important when it comes to deployments – sending troops and marines home with something special always makes them feel appreciated. But what if there was also something more tangible involved? Something that could actually help soldiers on deployment? That’s where navy-deployed gifts come into play! These unique items can be anything from small presents for family members back home to larger items like computers or clothes that can be used by troops on deployment. FromSeaWorld Orlando Resort’s Shamu show-themed aquariumticket voucher to Mazda MX-5 Miata Ralliart keys, navy generals have plenty of different ideas up their sleeves when it comes time to send someone home with a big thank you!
The USS Constitution (1797) was a United States Navy ship that served in the War of 1812. She was part of the squadron that attacked HMS Guerreuse on 17 October 1813.
Lebanon, Pennsylvania is a small town in Berks County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 614 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Reading Area. The first permanent settler in Lebanon was James McGill in 1798. He and his family built a log cabin on the banks of the Allegheny River. The first school in Lebanon was opened by Mrs. Westcott in 1812. In 1865, Presbyterian missionaries founded a mission station here and continued to serve the community until 1892 when they left for Japan due to religious persecution there. In 1864, Lafayette School District No. 3 established what is now Lebanon Elementary School as its first school campus east of Pittsburgh's city limits - this followed a decision by then-District Superintendent John J Brown that all public schools west of the Allegheny River should be consolidated into one district under his leadership. That same year, Lebanon High School also opened its doors for students from surrounding communities including Northumberland Township and Monrovia Township (now Northampton Township). Lafayette's rich history can be seen throughout its streets, buildings and people – some of whom still maintain their connection with the town today through active citizenship or business ownership roles within their local communities or businesses outside of Lebanon itself: such as former Mayor Art Krasner; Lebanese American Chamber President Nimr Hamdan; Judge Charles Fenton Jr.; Businessman Seamus FitzPatrick; United Methodist Bishop Noel Johnson; current Mayor Jim McNaughton – among many others!
When the United States Navy deployed in World War II, they brought along a wealth of gift history. From mementos from various battles to commemorative medals and other items, there was something for everyone. Some of the most popular gifts during the war were decorating tools like jigsaws and woodworkers’ kits, while others were more practical such as water bottles or wallets. Here are five examples of navy Deployed Gifts that stand out from the rest: 1) The USS Constitution Museum mug – This mug was gifted to the USS Constitution Museum in 1997 as a commemoration of her 50th anniversary in service. She served with distinction during both world wars and is now preserved on display at the museum. The mug is made from stainless steel with an etched inscription depicting all 5 states which she served on (US, UK, Canada, Mexico, Caribbean Sea & Asia). 2) A set of three US Naval Academy engraved dice – These dice were given to cadets at US Naval Academy in 1990 as part of an appreciation fund for their service academies during World War II. The dice are inscribed with latitude and longitude data from around the world so that students can commemorate their home countries’ involvement in conflict abroad. 3) A commemorative plaque honoring sailors who lost their lives during WWII – This plaque was donated by local fishermen to honor those sailors who lost their lives while serving aboard vessels belonging to the United States Navy during World War II. The plaque features images of each sailor along with information about his/her ship and combat area. 4) A rugby ball signed by American servicemen stationed overseas – This ball was given to players coming back home after serving in Italy or Europe during WWII. It features an image of a soldier holding a football (resembling those used by American servicemen), while another image shows a Concordoura boat being towed behind Trumpeter carrier USS Yorktown (CVN 65).

Lebanon, Pennsylvania is a town located in Beaver County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 948 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Pittsburgh Metropolitan Statistical Area.
Lebanon, Pennsylvania was founded on November 15, 1776 as a part of the Northwest Territory. In 1815, it became the county seat of Lebanon County. The population of Lebanon grew rapidly due to its location in the heart of Pennsylvania's wine country and its access to transportation and resources. In 1868, Lebanon Township was formed from portions of Montgomery and Huntingdon counties. The township prospered because it had a well-developed infrastructure including a railroad and an agricultural center. The growth in the township led to the creation of several other townships in Lebanon County over time. In 1916, Lebanon Borough was established within Lebanese Township. It quickly became one of the most populous municipalities in Lebanon County due to its large population density and good economic prospects. The postwar period saw a significant transformation in Lebanese Township with the arrival of many new residents who were interested in developing their neighborhoods into strong communities. This trend continued into the 21st century with various waves of newcomers coming to Lebanon Township during different periods throughout history.
