The history of the Army in Kingston, Pennsylvania dates back to the Revolutionary War. In 1777, the patriots and British forces fought a battle at Monongahela Heights. The Patriots emerged victorious, but were met with resistance from the British military. This led to the forming of a volunteer regiment called “the Queen’s Rangers.” The Rangers became known for their bravery and heroism in battle. In 1802, General Anthony Wayne was sent to Kingston to lead an army against Aaron Burr. Burr had unsuccessfully sought election as President of the United States while serving as Vice President under Thomas Jefferson. When Wayne arrived in town, he ordered all residents to clear out and build fortifications around their homes. The fortification was later renamed Fort Mifflin after Captain John Forbes who had commanded it during the American Revolution. The Kingdom of Great Britain lasted until 1801 when it fell to Napoleon Bonaparte and his French Empire. The area that now includes Kingston became part of France following its victory over England in 1814. After Napoleon's defeat, Germany took control of parts of France including Kingston which remained under German rule until World War II ended those same borders!

In 1777, the Rhode Island Regiment was organized and recruited in Kingston by General George Washington. The regiment fought in the American Revolution and was disbanded in 1783. In 1812, the 2nd Regiment U.S. Volunteers was raised in Kingston and served as a militia unit until 1815 when it was redesignated as the 1st Regiment U.S. Volunteer Infantry. The regiment participated in the Mexican-American War (1846-1847) and were discharged at Fort Sumter on April 12, 1861 due to lack of equipment and volunteers. On November 11, 1861, Abraham Lincoln signing the Emancipation Proclamation declared all slaves within Confederate territory free under section 5 of the Constitution of Virginia which read: "all persons held for sale or transportation into any State or Territory subject to this Union shall be free." The 1st Regiment U.S Volunteer Infantry reorganized and became Company H of artillery battery No 3rd Rhode Island Artillery after becoming part of Confederate forces during the Civil War (1861- 1865). The regiment lost its colors during battle at Gettysburg on July 4th 1863 when Lt Col John Salsbury's company D5th Rhode Island Volunteers lost their colors while fighting against Union forces under command of Brigadier General Robert Ewell at Cemetery Hill(July 14th 1863). Following battle, all officers including Colonel Salsbury were courtmartialed and convicted of cowardice for disobeying orders given during battle while losing their colors; they were also ordered not to take part in further military operations against Union forces until they received new uniforms etc... This event is generally considered as one of largest military reverses ever suffered by a volunteer unit serving in THE UNITED STATES ARMY
Kingston, Pennsylvania is a small town in Potter County, Pennsylvania. The population was 1,711 at the 2010 census. It is located on the north bank of the Susquehanna River and it is part of the Pittsburgh metropolitan area. The first Europeans to visit what is now Kingston were French traders in 1697. They named their settlement "La Rochelle" after Louis XIV's ship that stopped there on its way to Spain. In 1764, General George Washington and his army ravaged this region during their campaign against the Hessians, leaving behind a devastated countryside which would take many years for any reconstruction to take place. In 1814, General James K. Polk's army invaded and destroyed Philadelphia during the Mexican-American War (1846-48). After that war ended, Most counties in Potter County were placed under military jurisdiction of Fort Leavenworth until 1857 when the federal government took over all local government functions statewide effective January 1st of that year. In 1892, Kingston was designated as a borough by act of Congress following annexation by neighboring Bellefontaine Township from Allegheny Township. From 1902 until its incorporation as a borough on April 22nd, 1907 it was known as South Monongahela Borough because it included most of southern Monongahela Township including present day Butler and Parkview neighborhoods along with parts of North Monongahela Township including present day Thomas Edison Avenue and Westminster Avenue south of I-75 (the old alignment within Bellefontaine Township). On July 15th 1909 Borough Council passed an ordinance changing its name to Kingston because it had become home to more than half million people living within its borders making it one of the largest cities in America at that time nestled between two major metropolitan areas - Pittsburgh and New York City - both with populations much greater than those found in Kingston itself! “We have never forgotten our humble beginnings; we are still determined to make our mark upon this great land; while hoping that by so doing we may contribute some little towards promoting unity among these wonderful peoples who call America their home." – Chairman James Kephart

Kingston is a small town located in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 2,574 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Allentown- Bethlehem-Easton, PA Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first settlers in Kingston were Alexander McGillivray and his family who arrived in 1784 from Scotland. They were followed by John McMaster and his family in 1787. Other early settlers included David Herron (1789), James McKenna (1801), John Fenton (1805), and James Weiser (1809). In 1814, Kingston was chosen as the site for the new county seat of Lehigh County. The townships of McGowan and Walsh were organized into a borough on December 12, 1814. On January 1, 1800, Kingston incorporated as a city with a population of 575 people. In 1839, Kingston became one of seventeen municipalities to become part of the commonwealth of Pennsylvania under the act known as "The Consolidation Act". On November 11th that year, Kingston's incorporation as an independent city was ratified by a vote of its citizens; however it did not take effect until January 1st following the passage of an act by the General Assembly which granted full voting rights to cities within Lehigh County on December 6th 1840 As an independent city, Kingston made considerable progress in developing its infrastructure including becoming home to America's first public library in 1847 and also being designated as one of two Ulysses S Grant hometowns when he was elected president in 1888 In 1898 KSntatehood became fully statehood with a bill passed by both Houses providing for full voting rights for City Council members within their respective counties - this event marked not only an important victory for Kingston but also helped solidify its place within Lehigh County
