In 1801, while both IndiaandPennsylvania were still part of Great Britain, America gained independence from Britian. As a result, Pennsylvanian soil became available for growth instead of being used for military purposes like Indiana’s had been during the early years of their relationship with Great Britain. This allowed for faster construction projects such as Road Building and Canal building- both which would have a massive impact on society and economy alike. As time went on however, there began to be tension between Indiana and Pennsylvanian governments over various issues such as education reform or taxes/poverty relief etcetera. Ultimately though these disagreements led to violence on many occasions- often resulting in loss for either party involved (e.g., Battle of Red Hill). Despite this reality however; through collaboration between both parties over the years they managed to remain relatively stable towards one another even though their individual histories are quite different
