From the early days of coffee farming in what is now Greensburg, Pennsylvania, to the present day, gourmet coffee has been a part of the community. Coffee beans were first roasted and ground at the local grocery store in 1830. The first professional roaster in Greensburg was founded in 1895 by George Goudreau. In 1924, J. Pierpont Morgan donated land to establish a coffee plantation on which he also invested money. The first batch of 100 pounds of world-class cup-of-Joe beans from this plantation was roasted and exported to Europe in 1929. The development of espresso machines ushered in a new era for gourmet coffee production when it became possible to produce high quality drinks at home using pre-packaged parts and ingredients. Since the early 2000s, gourmet coffee enthusiasts have turned their attention to roasting and packaging their own cups of Joe for distribution throughout North America and Europe. In 1916, the first espresso machine was installed in the shop. The business continued to grow and expand over the years, eventually owning and operating a number of different locations throughout the area. In 1978, Greensburg Coffee Company merged with Philadelphia Coffee Associates to formPhiladelphia Coffee Industries Incorporated (PKI). PKI continued to operate as a private company until it was acquired by Starbucks Corporation in 1999.
Greensburg is a city in and the county seat of Butler County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 21,969 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Pittsburgh metropolitan area. The first settlers in what is now Greensburg were farmers who arrived in 1795 from West Virginia. They founded a town on a small peninsula in the Allegheny River, which they named Greencastle after their home state. But progress was slow as rivers and canals blocked access to land and investors hesitated to take on such an unscientific endeavor. In 1814, shipbuilder James Caldwell purchased 640 acres (2 km²) of land east of present-day Greensburg for $1000 and began developing it into what would become one of the most successful industrial cities in America. This growth led to Caldwell's death in 1847; his son John took over operation and continued development until he sold the city to George Washington Carver for $10 million in 1902. Carver's gift preserved Greensburg'searly history while creating a modern urban center with high-technology industries that continue today: Carnegie Mellon University, Duquesne University, PPG Industries Inc., Brown Mackie & Co., Coca Cola Company etc. In 1924 Erie Railroad bought out Carver's share and developed it into an important transportation link between Pittsburgh and Philadelphia; this made Greensburg one of Erie Railroad's "official" towns until it withdrew from service in 1990s due to increasing competition from industry elsewhere within the Steel City theme park empire). When Bridgeport Township was created out of parts of Butler County by Act No.(3) OF 1901, Greensburg became its township seat but retained its independent status as a separate municipality until becoming annexed by Bridgeport Township on January 1st 1984 when all municipalities within Butler County became associated withBridgeport Township pursuant to PA Act No.(5) OF 1984 (the "New Municipality"). Today Wildlife Conservation Society operates much of Greene State Park which straddles both borders between Butler County proper and Greene Township - providing some great birding opportunities for visitors outside those boundaries!

One of the earliest attempts at creating high-quality coffee was made by Spanish colonists in the 16th century. They began to roast their own beans and discovered that they had a very different flavor than those found in Europe. This led to the development of what is now known as Colombian coffee. Coffee became even more popular among European nobility during the 18th century. They began to import new plants and varieties of Coffee from Africa and South America, which gave them a much better taste than their European counterparts. As a result, there was an increase in demand for bean cents (the price per pound at which coffee could be bought). This caused some roasters to start producing lower-quality beans in order to meet this higher price point

Greensburg is a small town in McKean County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 5,826 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Philadelphia–Camden-Wilmington, PA Metropolitan Statistical Area. Greensburg was founded in 1786 by William Green and his family as a small log cabin on the Allegheny River. In 1812, Greenburgh was established nearby as a trading post between Greensburg and Pittsburgh. By 1824, Greensburg had become an agricultural community with over 100 businesses employing over 1,000 people. The Erie Canal arrived in Greensburg in 1825 and led to an increase in trade and industry throughout the town. In 1834, John Denny erected the first gristmill in Brownsville Township and began harvesting broad beans from the surrounding woods for flour production; this mill remains operational today. The town's economy changed dramatically when railroads came to Greensburg in 1830. With easy access to markets across North America via railroads, green beans became a popular export crop for Greensburg mills throughout the Eighteenth century until they were replaced by soybeans during World War II/. In 1888, James Auld donated land adjacent to his home on Elm Street for use as a parkland which now includes Eastern High School (now Middle Tennessee State University). A new school building was completed in 1902–03 and served as the nucleus of what would become Brown University’s current campus location on Elm Street across from Eastern High School (then known as Westmoreland Collegiate Institute). In 1907–08, major renovations were made to both schools resulting in their becoming world-renowned buildings of their era: Brown opened its doors wearing new brick architecture designed by engineer Augustus Saint-Gaudens thathttps://www-images2.wikiafoundationmediawiki/File:Brown_University_-_1887_.jpg features neoclassical designs such as swooping arches that can be seen today on many campuses worldwide including Brown's replacement building on Elm Street . Greensburg is a city in Greene County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 26,959 at the 2010 census. It is the second-largest city in Greene County after Huntingdon and the sixth largest city in Pennsylvania. The area now known as Greensburg was first settled by German colonists in 1777. When the United States acquired land west of Harrisburg in 1781, it included what is now Greenville Township and part of present-day Greensburg. The town of Greensburg was founded on December 10, 1814 by James Doolittle and others from Augusta Township as a result of a land lottery conducted to determine which township would be given to them for development. On February 1, 1865, during the American Civil War, Confederate General Robert Ewell visited Greensburg while supplies were being gathered for his army near Cold Springtown not far from where he later fought at Monocacy Ridge. In 1865, Greensburg became an independent municipality under Act No. 579 of 1866 which granted voting rights to citizens over 16 years old who could afford to vote (the age requirement did not change until 1917). Greensburg's rich history can be seen through its numerous landmarks and institutions such as Goodyear Hall (now closed), The Queen's Chapel (built 1902), Drinker Field House/National Museum of American History (1892), and West High School (opened 1965). These buildings have helped make Greensburg one of the most important cities in Greene County; they are also some of the most iconic symbols of the community. Other landmarks include Forbes Park located just south of downtown square on Forbes Avenue; Neil Armstrong National Monument located east off I-270 near Valley Forge Road; and Lansdale State Park located northwest between Lebanon Road and Lansdale Drive on PA Route 24 about northeast of downtown square on Philadelphia Pike
