After prolonged steep time, we then enjoy each cup of coffee with a smile!

The name "Dunmore" comes from John Dunmore and his family who settled in what is now Dunmore Township in 1755. The first post office was established in 1837 and the town was incorporated as a borough on December 1, 1868. On November 3, 1978, it became a city.

Dunmore is an unincorporated community in Butler Township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 568 at the 2000 census. It is located on the Susquehanna River east of I-95. The first settler in Dunmore was John Dunmore, who arrived in 1728. He built a gristmill and early store there. In 1759, James Stewart purchased the mill from Dunmore and continued to operate it until 1827 when it closed down due to financial difficulties. In 1832, Benjamin Tuttle bought the mill and continued to operate it until his death in 1881. In 1903, the mill was sold to John Hagee and continues to be used as a storage facility today. In 1838, General Andrew Jackson visited Dunmore and ordered Major General David Dixon to raise forces for frontier defense against Indian attacks. The town began receiving supplies from nearby Lancaster during this time and by 1840 had a library, schoolhouse, post office, jail and several stores. By 1865, the township had only one store remaining with a population of just 350 people living within its boundaries; however thanks to donations from local farmers and citizens alike, construction of a new brick courthouse began in that year which completed in 1870. In 1916–1917 (the same year as World War I), DunMORE served as headquarters for American forces fighting on the Western Front; troops were quartered there during their stay before being transferred eastwards into England en route home After World War II ended in 1945 following Japan's surrender (), DunMORE reverted back under British control maintaining its status as an unincorporated communityalbeit with much reduced population (). Today it retains its historical name but no physical connection with Dunmore Village itself

The first settler in what is nowDunmore was John DunMORE. In 1792, the area became part of the United States when Pennsylvania became an independent country. The population of Dunmore peaked at 350 people in 1820 but declined to 150 by 1830. The population decreased again until 1840 when it reached 100 people again. The decline continued until 1850 when it had only 60 residents remaining. In 1854, the U.S. Post Office moved from its original location at High Street and Market Road to what is now Main Street in downtown Dunmore after a fire destroyed the old post office building across the street. The construction of the railroad through central PA increased development in the town and by 1860, Dunmore had 120 residents living on Market Road and High Street combined with 50 residents living on Railroad Avenue east of Market Road
