In 1985, the store was reopened as the Coffee Shop on Main Street. From there, the business grew slowly but steadily until itclosed its doors for good in 2003. In 2006, co-owners of the Coffee Shop on Main Street sold their business to Timmy's Coffee & Tea which operates it currently.
Coatesville is a small town in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 2,811 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Greensburg–Kilkenny, PA-NJ-DE-MD Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first settlement in what is now Coatesville was established by George Washington and his family in 1786 as Fort Oglethorpe. The first post office was established in 1787, and the town was named for General John Forbes Coates who fought in the American Revolution. In 1801, the town became a borough under control of Philadelphia. In 1834 it became a township again under control ofPhiladelphia until it merged with Greensburg to form that city on January 1, 1905. During World War II, Coatesville developed into one of the largest military training areas in the United States because its location made it an ideal place to house troops preparing for battle overseas. More than 50% of all manufacturing done within three miles of Coatesville took place during World War II; many industries that would not have been possible without wartime production also got started after the war such as plastics and aircraft parts production. After hostilities ended in 1945, many businesses closed down or relocated due to lack of demand from peacetime customers; however some continued operations through various incarnations until they eventually folded around 2000 when competition from online shopping began making physical stores more feasible and affordable; today many local businesses still operate out of their homes though services are available through internet/phone ordering). One unique aspect about this community is that most residents are descendants of early settlers (particularly those who settled before 1800). Coatesville is a town in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 2,799 at the 2010 census. The name comes from General Nathanael Greene's headquarters in Coatesville during the American Revolution. The first settlers to the area were farmers who began to arrive in 1793. By 1825, there were 12 families living in what is now Coatesville. A post office was established here on October 3, 1827, and remained in operation until it was discontinued on November 15, 1893. The town of Coatesville was organized on February 14, 1838 by vote of the Township Committee. The first mayor was John Wirtz and the first clerk was David Herringer. The town had a schoolhouse and five stores which opened for business on December 1st of that year. A fairgrounds were built north of present day Park Avenue and William Penn Boulevard where crops were grown and animals raised before being marketed or used for transportation; coal mines were also nearby providing employment for many residents early on in their lives In 1861-1862 Union soldiers burned down three local tanneries as part of their battle against Confederate forces; this event is generally considered to have helped spur development within the town by encouraging businesses to invest money into new equipment and improve production methods
Coatesville was a small village in Berks County, Pennsylvania, United States. It was located on the south side of the Susquehanna River east of Reading and west of Altoona. The population was 996 at the 2000 census. The village had its start in 1798 when John Coates and his wife Jemima moved from Huntingdon Township to what is now Coatesville. The first store, built by John and Jemima Coates, opened in 1802. John Coates also helped to plat and build the Village Hall in 1811. From 1840-1854, Coatesville was part of the Western Reserve School District. In 1856 it became a separate municipality under the name "Altoona". In 1957-1959 it merged with Ambler Township to form Ambler-Coatesville Borough. In 1973-1975 it rejoined Ambler Township as an independent municipality once again with the name "Altoona". In 1999-2001 it amalgamated with White Sands Township to form White Sands borough.
