This company continued to serve gourmet coffee until 1992 when it closed its doors permanently due to financial difficulties.

Some of the earliest coffee beans were grown in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania. In 1825, Nicholas-Jacques Conte and his brother-in-law, Pierre Leduc, started a small farm that produced coffee. By 1830, the Leduc family had acquired a larger farm at present-day Milton Township. They grew two thousand acres of coffee trees and exported their beans to France, Belgium, and other European countries.

Bloomsburg was founded in 1765 by Captain John Blooms and his wife, Esther. The town grew rapidly due to its location on the Susquehanna River and its access to marketplaces. In 1821, Bloomsburg became the capital of what is now Pennsylvania. By 1830, the population of Bloomsburg had reached 10,000 people. Over time, the town became a center for agricultural production and commerce. In 1902, Bloomsburg was renamed after George Washington Hill in honor of his visit. In 1933, Bloomsburg experienced a large fire that destroyed most of the town center and left over 20 percent of its population homeless. Despite this tragedy, the community rebuilt quickly and regained its lost businesses and residents. In recent years, however, blight has again become a problem in Bloomsburg; however, city leaders have made strides to address it.

It became a town on November 3, 1839, after being chosen as the site for that purpose by the General Assembly of Pennsylvania.
