Fenton hoped to create a new society where African Americans could be self-sufficient and live without fear of violence or discrimination from white patrons or landlords. The colony failed but left behind one of Canadas largest black colleges - Friends School - which continues to exist today as Bethany College (known officially only as Friends School). Bethlehem's history reflects its rich culture and demographics: Catholics made up about 60% of the population until 1980; however, they have since disappeared completely; while Italians make up over 25% of the population but are still relatively powerless outsideof local politics; Jews account for almost all residents within walking distance (and sometimes more); Protestants are nearly evenly split between Baptists and Methodists; while smaller groups include Hindus and Muslims who frequent nearby KFC restaurants

She died in office after serving only two years of her four-year term. In 1933, President Franklin D. Roosevelt appointed George Washington Carver Jr., an agricultural scientist and educator who had worked for his father and other farmers during the New Deal, chairman of the National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS). NASS was responsible for collecting data on food production across America so that policymakers could make informed decisions about how best to distribute resources among various social programs and economic indicators. In 1936, Carver published "The Power Broker", which is considered one of the seminal books on public opinion research today. That year also saw the founding of Bethlehem Steel Company by local industrialists Fred Coughlin and Charles Bednarik; Bethlehem Steel would become one of America's most iconic companies with products that include locomotives, cars, bridges, automobiles, appliances, clothing (including bedding), paper goods (and even mattress stuffing) and more than fifty thousand jobs throughout its entire history including many current projects such as making steel masts for Boeing 747s worldwide during World War II Bethlehem experienced some very hard times both politically and economically due mainly to shortages caused by munitions production quotas set by FDR himself but they bounced back eventually thanks largely to their friends within congress like carver
