Troutdale, Oregon is a town located in the Willamette Valley of Oregon. It is the seat of Clatsop County and lies at an elevation of 5,609 feet (1,692 m). The population was 11,853 as of the 2010 census. Troutdale's history can be traced back to 1876 when pioneer John A. Power founded the townsite of Troutdale on land that he had purchased from the Yakima tribe. The community grew rapidly thanks to its location close to Portland and its easy access to irrigation water. In 1916, Power donated $5,000 to establish the Troutdale Institute which provided instruction in farming and horticulture. The institute continues to provide education today. During World War II, Troutdale was one of the first communities in Oregon toWelcome American troops into its citizens. From 1942-1945, troutdale served as a military garrison for Pacific Air Forces Station Riddle Field near present-day Bend, Oregon. During this time, it also became home to America’s first airlift squadron – XVI Fighter Squadron (Fighter) – which was activated at Riddle Field on 1st May 1942 under command of Lieutenant Colonel Edward "Buzz" Aldrin Jr.. After World War II ended and Riddle Field closed down in 1945, Troutdale reverted back to civilian control and remained a small agricultural town until 1978 when it incorporated into Clatsop County as part of its growth process following passage by county commissioners of an ordinance establishing a consolidated government for all nine counties in Clatsop County . Today, Troutdale remains an agricultural center with a focus on corn production and poultry production; however there are also significant commercial interests within the town such as technology firm Apple Inc., real estate developers GPMC Properties LLC and Park Place Communities LLC., as well as Anheuser Busch Brewery who own two breweries within walking distance of each other on Main Street. Troutdale has been host to several annual events including FRESH Festivals during summertime; Homecoming Celebration during autumntime; Christmas celebration every year; Easter Egg hunt at Springhill Woods Recreation Area during springtime/summertime; Fourth Of July fireworks show at Salmon Falls State Park just north east of town limits; quilt making weekend at Olive Branch Museum beginning Friday evening preceding Sunday morning.; Strawberry Festival held annually over Memorial Day Weekend adjacent creek where strawberries are grown.; Pumpkin Fest occurring every October since 1971 featuring local produce from local farms accompanied by pumpkin carving competitions.; Dog Days event taking place over Labor Day Weekend which features demonstrations on various dog breeds along with games for children.; There are also numerous smaller events throughout the year including company meetings or lunches for members lobbyists or staff assistants working out vanloads or carrying boxes full worth items from one meeting place inside another meeting place throughout downtown complex.;

Troutdale is a city in Lane County, Oregon, United States. The population was 5,512 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Lane County. Troutdale was founded in 1877 by John C. Huntington and his brother Amos Huntington as a small farming community on the Willamette River near present-day Beaverton. In 1912, it merged with neighboring Scappoose to form the larger city of Portland. In 1971, Troutdale became an independent municipality when its residents voted not to merge with Portland again. The original downtown core of Troutdale was built between 1907 and 1909 by local real estate developer Julius Rosenwald Jr., who also developed nearby Beaverton and Hillsboro. Rosenwald named the area "Troutdale" after his home town of Troutdamon, Scotland (now Edinburgh). The first public building in what is now downtown Troutdale was the Palmer House Hotel which opened in 1907. In 1912, John C. Huntington donated land for what would become modern day Troutdale High School; this donation helped create one of Oregon's largest high school districts at that time. The school district has since grown to over 100 schools serving more than 318,000 students alongwith annexed rural communities such as Bybee and Veneta alongthe way! Today's downtown core is home to many local businesses including restaurants, cafes & coffee shops, banks & other financial institutions, movie theaters and more! In 1795, when France ceded Canada to Great Britain, French traders brought coffee back to Canada with them as part of their cargo. Coffee began being exported from North America during this time also and eventually reached Europe where it gained immense popularity. Many people considered it one of the most important food items at that time because it could provide energy for work or even just relax while ashore. As coffee took on a much greater role in European society, so too did its use within military forces as an ingredient for drinks such as chocolate milk or black cocoa powder etc.. Coffee has been used by armies throughout history both militarily and commercially, but its most significant contribution may well have been during World War II when caffeine was desperately needed by combatants on both sides due to shortages caused by strategic bombing campaigns across Europe (see below). In 1984, Troutdale merged with nearby Bend to form the city of Bend. The first settlers to arrive in what is now Troutdale were Methodists who came from Illinois in 1868. The original town plat was filed on September 15, 1870 and it named after John Quincy Adams Jr., one of President Ulysses S. Grant's Vice Presidents. The town grew rapidly due to new construction and expansion of irrigation systems based on the Snake River system that connected Oregon to California and Nevada. By 1888, there were over 1,000 residents living in Troutdale. In 1908, troutdale became a city when it annexed the neighboring towns of Benton and La Grande which made it one of Oregon's most populous cities at the time. As part of this merger, both cities gained their own police departments and fire departments which continue today within their respective boundaries). In 1984, Troutdale merged with neighbouring Bend to form the city of Bend which has grown continuously since then citing increased employment opportunities within its borders including an increase in data centers as well as development around its agricultural sector. Today, Troutdale remains an important center for trade within Oregon with several businesses flourishing within its downtown area such as JCPenney (the largest Retailer headquartered outside North America) as well as local breweries such as Rogue Ales Brewery & Taproom situated near its namesake creek sports stadium home field known locally as 'Thedford Park'.
