In 1868, a man named George Pemberton founded the first permanent coffee plantation in the area. Klamath Falls, Oregon is a small town located in the Klamath Mountains of western Oregon. The population was 1,600 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Klamath Falls-Eugene, OR Metropolitan Statistical Area. The community is located on U.S. Route 101 and State Route 515, east of Interstate 5 and north of the Russian River. The first European to visit Klamath Falls was Jedediah Smith in 1827 when he explored the area for potential fur trade routes into what is now California. In 1846, USGS surveyor George Stephenson mapped out a route from John Day Valley to Klamath Falls via Mount Shasta. However, no permanent development occurred until after World War II when farmers began settling around the falls due to good water access and favorable agricultural land surrounding it. In 1951, Oregon statehood granted citizens of Klamath Falls voting rights which led to more development around the falls including new housing developments and businesses that have helped contribute to its current growthrate over the years. As recently as 1984, only one percent of residents lived in downtown; today that number has increased to over 60%. Downtown also contains several cultural attractions such as an art museum (founded in 1973), three restaurants/bars (one open 24/7), a library (opened in 1978), four churches (two with Bible studies) and a variety of stores including two pharmacies and six grocery stores within walking distance of each other - making it an ideal place for pedestrians or cyclists to explore during their lunchtime or evening strolls through town center!

In 1205 A.D., Ibn Battuta reported seeing Indian merchants carry sacks full of green coffee beans on their camelback across Arabia Desert into Persia for export back home; he also noted European sailors bringing cargoes of Arabian Kaffir lime oil back to Spain in those days! Coffee became known throughout society as "the good stuff" because it could not only provide comfort but also stimulate mental alertness and productivity!
