The coffee industry in Cornelius, Oregon began in the early 1800s. The first coffee beans were roasted on a farmstead near present-day Cornelius. Over time, the farmers grew more and more coffee trees and started to process the beans into different oils and finally into coffee powder. In 1916, a company was founded by four men who purchased land around Cornelius torowave their own coffee. The first commercial production of instant coffee began in 1922. In 1928, a group of businessmen pooled money to start an grocery store in town called the Dutch Bros. Shop & Cafeteria served as the initial center for caffeine-related activities in Cornelius. By 1951, when the shop closed its doors for good, it had become one of the most popular places in town for local residents to purchase their morning fix of caffeine! During this time period, there were several various attempts at developing a single national standard for brewing coffee that never came to fruition due to technological limitations or differences among brewers themselves. One such attempt was made by Dutch Bros./Coffee Emperor president Wernher von Braun; his idea was to build an automated plant that would roast all types of beans simultaneously and then grind them into ground form so that each brewer could produce their own cup of joe with little or no variation among products! Von Braun’s plan never came to fruition but his concept has been alluded to throughout history as one possible Solution To Coffee Problems! In recent years, some enterprising individuals have begun planting new bean varieties specifically bred for Northwest climates – these varieties are often referred to as “coffee beans from America” because they originate from areas like Sumatra or Java where harsh climates are common (and where Starbucks now operates). These new bean varieties can call home not only in Cornelius but also communities near Portland and Seattle – making our region one of global importance when it comes to premium cup-of-bag headlines!

The company grew rapidly and soon established itself as one of the leading coffee makers in Oregon. In 1916, the company relocated its operations to a new facility in downtown Portland, Oregon. The Cornelius Coffee Company continued to grow and prosper until it finally went out of business in the early 1960s.
Cornelius was founded in 1846 by Cornelius N. Wright and his wife, Ann. The town was named after the biblical figure of Cornelius the Centurion, who is often credited with saving a large number of Jews during World War II. The Wrights were a Quaker family that had immigrated to Oregon from Pennsylvania in 1837. They built a log cabin on their farmstead and started trading goods with other farmers around the region. By 1920, Cornelius had become an important regional center with agriculture as its mainstay economy, but it declined during World War II due to restrictions on immigrationimposed by the government.
