Grant Wood Jr.'s son Orson Welles Woodford IV (1945-2018). In 1925, Main Street in downtown Moore was renamed Earp Boulevard after Wyatt Earp's acquittal on murder charges following his gunfight with Tom Hickey at Fort Worth Fairgrounds two years earlier. At that time, Earp Boulevard also housed The Palace Coffee House - which had been closed down by 1903 after becoming too popular for its owner to keep up with demand! In 1935, when Earl Kempner purchased the Palace Coffee House from its last owner - author James Baldwin - he rechristened it "Maga". From 1942 through 1978 – when it closed permanently due to lack of patronage – Majag Alescia roasted beans daily at its new location inside a converted grain elevator located opposite Interstate 44 south of Tulsa on Wednesdays before giving them out free to anyone who stopped by her truck parked outside her store overnight!
