The first two companies that came up with the modern espresso machine were Angelo's Cafe & Roastery and Harry's Coffee House. In 1939, a group of businessmen from Tulsa bought the farm that used to produce Coffee beans and started brewing Espresso machines called "Cafés at Home". In 1944, Harry's Cafeteria was closed down by order of President Roosevelt which ended World War II- which was tough on the Coffee industry as many people had lost their jobs due to war-related shortages. However; it wasn't until 1948 when Joe's restaurant opened up in town which became one of the most popular places for Breakfast or Lunch within town limits before closing down again in 1984 due to financial troubles around then ( however; it reopened under new ownership later on).

As a result of this event, the town's water supply was cut off and they had to build a new water tower to continue supplying their residents.

By 1907, Guymon had become one of Tulsa's most vibrant communities, thanks largely to its role as an key transportation hub for goods travelling between Tulsa and eastern Oklahoma City. Guymon experienced rapid growth during World War I due to its status as an important supply depot for military forces fighting abroad. During this time, many local businesses closed down due to shortages caused by wartime rationing; however, many others thrived thanks to their affiliation with local war industries such as munitions manufacturing or engineering services. After hostilities ended in 1918, business picked up again but slowly because there were no guarantees that reconstruction would be abetted financially by government coffers; however, industry did bring about some new residents who helped spur economic growth over time . At that time, it was part of what is now Muskogee County. In 1885, a post office called "Guymon" was established in present-day Guymon and remained in operation until 1907. In 1906, a railroad was built through central Oklahoma and joined with the telegraph line running from Wichita Falls to Tulsa; this made town development more rapid than earlier. From 1912 to 1916, logging operations took place in present-day Guymon; however, this stopped after a fire destroyed most of the trees. A small community developed around these lumberyards; however, it ceased activity following World War I when many men left for military service. During World War II (1939-1945), many local businesses helped support American troops stationed in Europe; as a result, business growth resumed after the war. The post office closed permanently in 1987 due to lack of mail volumes; however, an online presence has continued ever since. Today's town began growing rapidly when oil production increased during the 1980s and 1990s; as a result, numerous new businesses have opened throughout downtown since then. Several restaurants and bars have been built along Main Street over recent years as well - making it one of East Central Oklahoma's most popular tourist destinations!
