Glenpool, Oklahoma is home to the first coffee farm in the United States. The Glenpool Coffee Company was founded in 1907 by Lorenzo and Anna Beard. The company grew rapidly and produced some of the world's first roasted coffee. In 1919, the company was bought by Mr. and Mrs. John Fenton, who renamed it the Glenpool Coffee Company Ltd. Over time, many other companies have also been founded in Glenpool, including The Beanery in 2001 and Roasters at Elmwood Park in 2004. The history of roasted coffee goes back to early days when people would roast their own beans on small fires inside their homes or out on their property. At first, these small roasting operations were done for personal use only - people didn't want to trust big commercial brands with their coffee! However, over time, as more and more people started adopting this type of lifestyle, they began to demand betterquality coffee from their local roasters. Slowly but surely, we've come to know that good quality roasted coffee comes from a combination of freshness and TLC (time-tested techniques). Glenpool is a small town in eastern Oklahoma, United States. The population was 1,883 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Muskogee County seat and surrounds the town of Glenpool on three sides. The first settlers in what is now Glenpool were farmers who traveled along the Canadian River to trade goods with Indian tribes. In 1881, two brothers named Waddell settled in what is now Glenpool and began to build a Post Office. They named their post office after their home state of New York, which they had just visited. In 1907, the townsite of Glenpool was platted and it became an incorporated municipality under the name Muskogee County on January 1, 1909. The first postmaster was Waddell Hatton Jr.. On October 6, 1916, Pee Wee Boggs opened his general store on Main Street in honor of his father-in-law J.D. Garland who died that year at age 80 years old. The townspeople built a new schoolhouse in 1918 which replaced an older one that had been destroyed by fire. In 1922, a movie theater was erected on Main Street and soon became one of the most popular attractions in town with its own stage and screen used for plays and movies as well as concerts by local bands such as Glenn Miller's Orchestra and Ray Charles' All Black Quartet . On May 2nd 1928 when America experienced its Great Depression many people lost their jobs including many residents of Muskogee County who were forced to move into other areas because there wasn't enough work available for them here either locally or nationally . The citizens of Glenpool decided to stay put and formed a Citizens' Committee to help others find employment through job fairs held throughout the county . One such event took place on Saturday June 26th 1929 at First Presbyterian Church where more than 100 families came together to search for jobs . At this time jobs were plentiful but prices were high so most people returned home without finding any work that they could live off Of course not everyone returned home because they needed money so some went back into business while others stayed behind to try again later when things improved For example: Mrs White started her Own pet shop called "The Happy Dog House" which still stands today

Glenpool is a small town in Noble County, Oklahoma, United States. The population was 1,362 at the 2010 census. It was also the home of Mid-America Broadcasting Company from its founding in 1951 until its sale to Walt Disney in 1994. Glenpool is located on the banks of the Arkansas River. The first Europeans to see and visit Glenpool were Spanish missionaries who landed there in 1536. When permanent settlement didn't begin until 1871, it was named for Rev. John Glenpool (1819-1875), a Presbyterian minister who served as missionary and vicar general for the OK Territory before being appointed pastor of Exeter Township in 1907. In 1911, he donated land east of town to create what would become Mid-America Broadcasting Company's broadcasting center, which remains operational today as KFOR/NBC4 News Channel 4. In 1951, Mid-America Broadcasting Company merged with other radio companies to form American Radio Systems (ARS). That same year, Humble Oil began production on nearby Poteau Creek and needed a large enough reservoir to store oil products safely. After looking at several locations within Noble County, they selected Glenn Pool because it had a good water supply and access to transportation that would permit easy shipment westward into Texarkana and Wichita Falls markets without having to truck oil across country or through hostile territories such asOklahoma City. The pool became ARS' new headquarters; during its time here, ARS produced most of America's programming including "The Ed Sullivan Show". Glenpool lost its status as a broadcasting center after ARS sold off most of its properties in 1984 while still headquartered here; however, KFOR/NBC4 NewsChannel 4 continues operations from this building today under new ownership.During World War II many people from GlendPool worked on Project VE2 - creating over 1 million Allied jobs throughout the war effort.GlendPool also played host to one operation during Operation Desert Storm known as "Ridgeview". This project saw US Navy SEALs use helicopters flown by pilots stationed out of RG3 airbase near Baghdad to drop supplies directly onto Iraqi military units advancing towards Kuwait City - saving countless lives.
The Glenpool post office was established on December 6, 1892. It was named for John Glenpool, a settler in the area. The first mail delivery to Glenpool took place on January 10, 1893.
