The company prospered for many years and eventually became one of the largest heating companies in the area. In 1939, Harry passed away and his son-in-law, George Rinehart, took over the company. George ran the company until its closure in 1980.
Del City is a small town in Oklahoma, located about 25 miles east of the state's capital, Oklahoma City. The population was 5,541 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Tulsa metropolitan area. The town was founded in 1907 by Dr. John H. Huffman and his family as a farming community called Huffmanville. When oil began to flow through the area in 1911, Huffman decided to build a refinery on the edge of town so that he could sell its products worldwide. In 1917, Huffman donated land for what became Del City Municipal Airport and also built a school and store on it. The first post office opened in 1927; it served as both an economic development tool forDel City and a means for people from other nearby towns to get here quickly for goods or services during those early days of oil production in the area. By 1939, Del City had become known as one of the most prosperous communities in eastern Tulsa County due to its status as an incorporated municipality with its own police department and fire department; its businesses prospered because they were able to tap into the local oil market; and its residents enjoyed easy access to jobs available right outside their door. In 1952, when Tulsa Metropolitan Area expansion plans were announced, Del City voted not to join it; instead, it chose to form its own Combined Statistical Areas (CSAs) within that region – making it one of only two towns within Tulsa County (along with Jenks) which did so voluntarily. In recent years, however, DelCity has made steady progress towards joining OKC's largest city limits: On October 1st of this year (2012), Mayor Joe Vaught delivered remarks at the OKC Chamber of Commerce’s annual meeting announcing that DelCity will be annexing portions of McAlester Township beginning with blocks I-44E & W-8th Streets South – concluding Blocks I-59E & S-4th Streets North – forming what will become Oklahoman’s secondlargest city limits after Guthrie proper! This move signals significant momentum being put into preserving our small town feel while still growing into an even more vibrant metropolis; one day soon everyone withinOklahoma’s Central Business District will have direct access to downtown OklahomaCity without ever leaving our doorstep!

Del City is a small town located in Payne County, Oklahoma. The population was 1,703 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Payne County. The name "Del City" comes from the Del Norte Apache tribe who were known for their light blue clothing and green hair. The post office was established in 1881, and named after Halleck Colville Behnke, who had come to the area to homestead in 1879. The first store in Del City opened on Main Street in 1883. In 1898, Ben Winchester opened a general store on First Street which became one of the most popular shopping destinations in town. By 1906, there were six businesses open in Del City with an average daily traffic of $1,000+. In 1911, the first school was built and named after Mrs. A L Whitehurst which served children up until 1935 when it was replaced by what is now called Academy High School (now part of Pearce Middle School). In 1925-1927, two gas stations were built; one on Cherokee Avenue and one on Fillmore Avenue near present day Academy High School. In 1933-1935, three stores were closed due to prohibition; however, this did not stop people from coming to shop at these stores during that time period as they still existed until 1984 when they closed down again due to lack of business opportunities . In 1937-1939 four more stores operated; these stores being located on Main Street between Park Avenue and Delaware Avenue and also off Memorial Drive just south of I-10 Exit 244 near present day Academy High School along with a restaurant that served food until 1959 . From 1941 through 1945 all five stores closed because of World War II shortages but reopened when hostilities ended . At some point during those years no less than eight different businesses operated within Del City limits including three bank branches plus a dentist’s office and funeral home which remain open today as JB Hiatt Funeral Home & Crematorium Incorporated.. After World War II the population slowly declined as many citizens relocated away or left for better economic opportunities elsewhere while continued job losses followed during postwar austerity times .. In 1960 there were only 375 residents living within city limits while by 1980 it had dwindled down to just over 100 residents .. However recent revitalization efforts have seen an increase in both population AND retail activity with development taking place throughout downtown including new housing projects completed or under construction as well as several restaurants/bars/stores currently active inside city limits .. Today's population range into the mid 1000s with major redevelopment areas ongoing throughout downtown making it one of busiest cities anywhere !!
