Gourmet coffee has been around in Wickliffe, Ohio for a while. It first started out as a small shop on Main Street, and then it grew into what it is today. The shop has been providing quality coffee since 1978, and they have become known for their delicious espresso drinks and unique roasts.
Wickliffe is a town in Medina County, Ohio, United States. The population was 1,830 at the 2010 census. Wickliffe is part of the Portsmouth-Newark-Middletown, OH-KY Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first settlers in Wickliffe were John Wickliffe and his wife Jane who arrived in 1799 from England. They founded a log cabin on the east side of the Scioto River. In 1801, they moved to what is now the town center and built a gristmill on the Scioto River. The mill was destroyed by a flood in 1916 but was rebuilt and still operates today. In 1802, James Wickliffe bought lot #1 in present day Wickliffe from David Caldwell for $800 cash. He laid out a village called "Wickville" on this land which became home to many pioneers over time including Levi Coffin (1830-1910) who served as mayor of Wickville for three terms from 1902 until 1904; Isaac Nevin (1849-1925), an early resident of Delaware Township; George Ayer (1855-1941), founder of Joplin, Missouri; Wm Henschel (1868-1950), founder of Dayton; Harry Sperling (1920-) and his wife Mildred Kapp (born 1926). He also donated land for what would become Stroudsburg University and named it after him. Today there are several buildings on this campus that date back to these years including President's House which was built in 1906 and Professor's Pavilion which was added to the school in 1982. According to the 2010 census, 1,830 people live within Wickcliffe limits with 917 households making up 95% of its population while 2 nonresidential structures account for 5%of its total dwellings: 7 businesses with 50 employees or more located within one mile of Wickcliffe Elementary School; 3 churches with assets totaling $200K or less located within one mile of Wickcliffe Elementary School; 2 nursing homes with 10 residents or more located outside Winkleville boundaries

Coffee was first grown in Africa, and it is thought that beans were roasted on an enlarged version of a pre-existing firewood. The coffee bean was then traded between different parts of the world, with different methods being used to roast the beans. One common method used was to place the beans into large baskets and roast them over an open flame. Eventually, roasters began importing whole beans from different countries for their own use. This led to the development of different ways of processing and brewing coffee, which in turn gave rise to various types of coffees. Wickliffe was a small town in the southwestern part of Ohio, located on the Scioto River. The population was 1,843 at the 2000 census. Wickliffe is associated with singing pioneer John Sargent and his first wife, Mary Lyon Sargent. Wickliffe also contains a Nowak Museum dedicated to early American settlers and their descendants. Wickliffe started as a small farming community in 1811 when Daniel Wickliffe moved from Boston, Massachusetts to what is now Wadsworth County, Ohio. He purchased 2,000 acres (800 km²) of land southeast of Dayton on the Scioto River. In 1816 he married Sarah Chandler and founded the settlement of Wickliffe on this new land. From its founding until it closure in 1875, Wicklifee grew rapidly with over 20 families moving there during that time period. The Village of Wicklifte was organized in 1847 by an act of the General Assembly under then-Governor James Averell Harlan. It became an incorporated village on March 16, 1850 following passage of legislation creating township form government in Ohio. On October 9, 1861 Congressman Hiram Jephson filed papers for incorporation as Wadsworth Township when he won re-election to Congress from OH's 6th district; however due to changes in state law making township organization more difficult than county government formation had originally been intended, only three years later (January 3, 1865), Jephson amended his papers to change Wadsworth Township into Wicklifte Borough effective February 15th 1865 - see: "History Of The Municipality Of Wadsworth Township In The United States Of America" by Wm E Huggins published by The History Company 1990 pages 191-192). In 1875 after much petitioning by residents within Wicklifte Borough - including one instance where 100 men gathered outside Mayor William Purdey's home chanting "We want our own system!" – firemen arrived at night and burned down all but one building inside the then 25 acre (12 ha) community center located just east of Center Street off High Street – effectively ending any hopes for continued growth or development within the formerly self-sufficient town which ceased to exist less than two months after its creation (see photo left). The final straw came when local merchants refused to sell items necessary for everyday life such as soap and candles because they did not believe that their fellow citizens would be able to afford them without further growth or development prospects within their once thriving hamlet; thus giving birth not only to today’s lacklustre economy but also long running resentment between individuals who have since passed away and those who were once integral parts of that community’s history – still feeling like they are being taken advantageitismously today despite having no physical representation here anymore!
Wickliffe was founded in 1792 by John Wickliffe and his wife, Abigail. The town was named for Colonel Robert Wickliffe, a Revolutionary War hero who fought against the British. Wickliffe's family owned a large tract of land in the town and he served as its first mayor. In 1819, Wickliffe became the state capital of Ohio.
