The Air Force has been deployed in many different ways over the years. Some of these deployments have been for short periods and others have been for a longer period. The most recent deployment was to Whitehall, Ohio in 2018. This deployment was part of the War on Terror and it occurred during the Trump presidency. This deployment came about because President Trump wanted to put more pressure on Iran. He believed that they were developing nuclear weapons and he wanted to stop them from doing so. The Air Force was sent to Whitehall because it is a small town and there were not enough military units there to protect the town. The Air Force had two main goals when they arrived in Whitehall. They wanted to help people who were affected by the war with Iran and they also wanted to help make sure that no one was harmed while they were there. The Air Force did a great job helping out with both goals and everyone who worked with them got very excited about their appointment. People in Whitehall are really proud of their air force history and they feel like it has helped them through some tough times. Whitehall is a town in Stark County, Ohio, United States. The population was 1,362 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Dayton–Dayville Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first white settler in what is now Whitehall was John Stoneman in 1810. He and his wife Anna were the first permanent residents of what became Whitehall Township when it was created from parts of Washington Township and Delaware Township on July 1, 1814. The township site was used by various Native Americans before European settlement began. One such group was the Wyandot tribe who occupied the area around present-day Whitehall for most of the 17th century. In 1795, James Caldwell purchased land east of present-day Whitehall from the Wyandot tribe for £525 sterling (about $1,700). Caldwell developed what would become known as Caldwell's Mills which manufactured flour and other goods until 1865 when it closed due to competition from mills in neighboring Dayton. A post office called Whitehall opened in 1811, and remained open until 1870. The town name originated with General George Washington who named it for his Headquarters at Valley Forge near Philadelphia where he resided during the American Revolution. At that time much of western Ohio lay within Pennsylvania territory so Washington's headquarters likely served as an inspiration for this new community name which also avoided any possible confusion with nearby Valley Forge where actual military operations were taking place at that time

In 1827, President James K. Polk issued an Executive Order that designated Whitehall as a reservation for Native Americans during the Indian Removal Act of 1830. Whitehall remained an important community until after World War II when it began to decline economically due to population growth and changes in technology. After several years of decline, the town council decided to seek assistance from the Cleveland-Akron Regional Development Authority (CARE) for revitalization in 2006. CARE funded both phase 1 and phase 2 of the project which aimed to create jobs, improve infrastructure and attract new businesses to Whitehall. Today, Whitehall is one of CARE's most successful communities with over 100 businesses operating within its boundaries. Although today's Whitehall is quite different than when it first developed, its history remains significant because it helped shape Cleveland's economy and culture for generations to come. With that legacy intact, there are many things that make this community special - such as its rich heritage dating back centuries;iental architecture; vibrant nightlife district; diverse cultural experiences available each year; and wide range of resources available onsite including museums, libraries/archives and cultural events calendar
