These events demonstrated how important maritime operations had become to Ohio City leaders and citizens alike during that time period; both weeks saw record attendance numbers for local businesses In 1978–1979—the height of Reaganomics—Westerville hosted another major Fleet Week event: Fleet Week '78/79 on Harbor Beachhead Pier (then known as Seaweed Point). Westerville, Ohio is a town in DuPage County, Illinois, United States. The population was 8,868 at the 2010 census. It is the fastest-growing town in DuPage County and one of the fastest-growing cities in Illinois. Westerville was incorporated on December 12, 1847. The first permanent settlers in what is now Westerville were farmers who arrived from Pennsylvania in the early 1800s. They did not have enough water to grow crops so they built dams and reservoirs to provide water for their homes and fields. In 1853 construction began on the present day post office building which was completed in 1857. In 1870, a sawmill and gristmill were built here and continued to be used until 1977 when they were replaced by two more mills - one an aluminum smelter that still operates today and the other a limestone quarry that closed in 2009. In addition to its namesake river –the Wabash River–Westerville has several other significant waterways including: The Erie Canal (#7 heritage site list), The Chicago Lake Shore Railroad (#4 historic site list), The Dayton Canal ('The Raccoon' canal added as part of renovations made to Heritage Park District#2 in 2015) and numerous creeks such as "Creek Road" which runs through downtown Westerville before emptying into Big Branch Creek near Mount Carmel Cemetery; "Holloway Road" which flows eastward from downtown then turns southwesterly along Interstate 476 before rejoining 'Creek Road'; "Millstream Drive", running east-west between downtown Westerville/Mount Carmel Cemetery/Allstate Insurance Company Headquarters/Monsanto Co.'s Factory; "Pine Brook Drive" which parallels 'Holloway Road' northerly for about three miles before turning easterly back towards Mount Carmel Cemetery; Steveston Avenue –named after General John A. Starkweather who fought against Native Americans during the Northwest India War (); "Greene Street", extending northeast from Downtown Westervillette along US 131 Business until it enters I-71 just past milepost 269; Morningside Heights (), also known as Clinton Hill () because of its location adjacent to President Clinton's White House Mansion (); "Lake View Terrace", located behind McIntyre Middle School (); Oneonta Township ().

Westerville, Ohio is a town in Lucas County, Ohio, United States. The population was 5,521 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Cleveland–Akron Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first permanent settler in Westerville was John Sutter in 1824. He and his brother James founded the city of Sacramento on the Scioto River east of Westerville in 1826. They named it after their home state of California. Westerville became a borough in 1835 and was incorporated as a village in 1858. The village merged with the Township of Lucas to form the city of Westerville on October 1, 1961. On December 15, 1976, due to annexation by Akron from Westerville, the city became an official seat of government for both cities combined with its current name – “Westerville” – effective January 1st 1977. Scioto Valley National Wildlife Refuge: This area contains over 225 miles (360 km) of protected airspace extending over parts of northeastern Ohio including most notably Scioto Valley National Wildlife Refuge which spans 623 square miles (1,500 km2). The refuge includes more than 20 million acres (80 sq mi) or more than one-third of all remaining undeveloped land within Greater Cleveland metropolitan area; it is also one half mile wide across at its widest point and measures less than two blocks long by one block wide at its deepest point – making it easily accessible from most points within Cleveland itself!
