Warren was founded in 1788 by Revolutionary War veteran and political leader, Ethan Allen. The town is located in the Hardin County area of Ohio, about 35 miles east of Cincinnati. Warren’s population was only 10 people when it was first platted, but rapidly grew due to its excellent locations for agriculture and commerce. In 1811, the town had a population of 150 people and in 1821 it reached a peak with 300 residents. However, the towns decline began soon after that as railroad construction increased transportation costs and competition from other towns in the area. In 1870, Warren’s population declined to just 60 people; however, it has since grown again thanks to new development near the town center. Today, Warren is an important commercial and industrial center with a growing number of residences. The local small-town feel is still very evident today with many streets named after founding members of the community or their families.

They would take fresh earth, mix it with hot water, and let it cool before using it for brewing purposes. The monks would then pour this mixture into vases or cups and use them as brewing vessels. Warren is a city in and the county seat of Mahoning County, Ohio, United States. The population was 25,481 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Columbus metropolitan area. Warren was founded as a small village on the Scioto River in 1796 by Capt. John Warren and his brother-in-law, Solomon Stiles. The first European to see it was Captain Cook in 1793 when he stopped over near present-day downtown Cleveland on his third voyage around the world. The town grew rapidly due to its strategic location on the Scioto River and its many manufacturing businesses that developed during the late 1800s and early 1900s including Champion Glass Works (now known as American Vintage), Smith's Drug Store, Wernick Furniture Company, Pabst Brewery, Horseshoe Casino (now known as Riverside Resort & Casino), Dayton Waterworks Company, and Erie Railroad Depot No. 1 which served as an impromptu train depot for local farmers until 1907 when tracks were built through town for the Cleveland–Akron Railway. In 1921 residents of nearby Mentor raised their voices against plans by Cuyahoga County Commissioners to build a new county courthouse there; they succeeded in having that building built instead in Warrensburg across the river in Mentor . A large growth spurt followed during World War II with war production moving from Akron to Warren; however, much of this activity shifted after Pearl Harbor because more important wartime industries such as aircraft manufacturing moved to other cities such as Detroit or Pennsylvania. The population reached 30,000 by 1960 but declined rapidly thereafter due to various factors including suburbanization and loss of manufacturing jobs throughout Mahoning County while other counties experienced larger populations growth. However, since 2000 a slow resurgence has occurred with current numbers standing at 25,481 according to2010 Census figures
Warren is a city in the U.S. state of Ohio and the county seat of Mahoning County. The population was 33,813 at the 2010 census, making it the second-largest city in Mahoning County after Youngstown. The city is located on the southern edge of Greater Cleveland and is bounded by Lake Erie to the east, Midwestern United States to the north, and Union Township to the west. The first permanent settler in Warren was Nicholas Haines who arrived in 1814 from Rhode Island. He called his new community "Hainesville". In 1830, Mayor James Worthy organized a town meeting to choose a site for Warren but no one attend because they were afraid ofrumors that another settlement would be established on their land. A group of men led by Captain John Geddes traveled through central Ohio looking for a new location for their town when they found an abandoned farmstead on June 2, 1830 at what is now Waterford Road (now Griggs Road). They named their new town "Warren" after Samuel Warren, an early settler in this area. In 1836, two brothers named George and Andrew Thompson purchased land off downtown Warren from Nicholas Haines for $2 per acre which made it possible for farmers to grow corn, wheat and other crops near downtown while still having access to water resources necessary for farming purposes. After selling their holdings within four years they moved away from downtown and built themselves a home near present day First Baptist Church on Euclid Avenue where they operated a grocery store until 1861 when local funding dried up due to war spending cuts . At that point they became self-sufficient enough to build their own church which opened its doors in 1865 with Reverend J F Priest as pastor . In 1870 Canada Dry Corporation bought out Reverend Priest's interest in the church so Canada Dry could operate it as an alcohol retailer until 1971 when prohibition reduced such activity . In 1944 Mainline Telephone Company merged with Canadian Western Railway so by 1969 all telephone service had been discontinued except long distance during summertime when main line services continued . In 1970 City Council decided not to renew contract with TRW so services stopped effective November 1st 1970 ending over 50 years of phone service in downtown Warren! In 1948 rioting broke out between whites and African Americans following white assertions that black people were responsible for crime rates higher than those among whitesites despite overwhelming evidence against such claims including robberies targeting white businesses conducted by unprovoked black assailants rather than spontaneous protests or banditry motivated by racism
