The Warren Army Ammunition Plant was built in 1917 and served as the primary ammunition depot for the United States Army during World War I. The plant closed in 1945, but it is still well-remembered today due to its contributions to American culture and military history. Warren is located in northern Ohio, near the border with Pennsylvania. The site of the present-day Warren Army Ammunition Plant was first used for farming by early settlers in what is now Warren Township. In 1796, General George Washington's army passed through the town on their way to Battle of Yorktown. During the Revolutionary War, Warren was a part of the Northwest Territory under British rule. In 1812, Indian Chief Tecumseh led an attack on thetown which destroyed most of its buildings and killed many people. This event helped prompt Congress to pass an act authorizing President James K. Polk to build an arsenal at Cairo, Illinois so that cannon could be brought down from Canada without having them delivered across the USborderland into British hands. Construction began on the Cairo Arsenal in 1814 and continued until 1828 when it was transferred to Warren as part of General Andrew Jackson's efforts to secure Ulysses S Grant's nomination for president against John Quincy Adams. Aftermath of this battle saw a large influx of refugees into central Ohio who were forced to live in tents while they awaited resettlement elsewhere within America or abroad. In 1865, following Lincoln's assassination, General Joe Hooker ordered all artillery eastward alongthe Mississippi River instead of westward towards Confederate forces entrenched around Vicksburg Peninsula; this order caused much destruction and loss among Union troops positioned around Cairo Junction where cannons batteries were stored prior to deployment onto Confederate territory - one battery alone lost 223 men dead or missing during that engagement alone! All told, over 1 million rounds were fired from artillery pieces at Confederate forces during those three months - more than any other theater during those hostilities! Today only a fraction remains of these former munitions facilities which are remnantsspecificallyLocated eastof Lebanon Roadand southOf Mount Carmel Rd.,just eastof Interstate 80 (exit 129) within city limits OF WARREN OHIO .On July 7th 2008 local media reported that demolition work has commenced at old arsenalsite adjacentto Mount Carmel Rd & Lebanon Rd – removing all evidence remaining from past decades pic #1 https://tribalfootballreportcard2 #warrenohio

Warren, Ohio is a small town in the state of Ohio. The population was 5,532 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Columbus metropolitan area. The name "Warren" comes from an early settler, Warren Hastings, and his family who were prominent in local politics and business. In 1814, General Harrison sold land to Warren for $2 per acre. In 1823, the United States Congress passed a bill that granted voting rights to citizens of Indian Territory who had resided there for five years before becoming citizens. This act made Warren one of the first towns in Ohio to have full citizenship status. In 1828, Governor John Milton appointed George Rogers Clark as Territorial governor and ordered him to create a government for Indian Territory with full responsibilities including education, justice, militia service, and police duty. The first courthouse in Warren was built in 1830 on State Route 508 (now US- 23). The building served as the territorial capital until it was replaced by the present courthouse in 1865. The town experienced some economic changes during the 1920s and 1930s when Cleveland grew rapidly thanks to its role as both a munitions manufacturing center during World War I and as a major transportation hub during Prohibition Era America. However, post-World War II prosperity brought stability and growth to Warren through businesses such as Hospira Pharmaceuticals Inc., Alcoa aluminum smelting operations (the largest employer in town until 1998), Reynolds American Tobacco Company (renamed Altria Group after its acquisition by Philip Morris USA), Wachovia Bank Corporation (owned by Wells Fargo & Co.), PPG Industries Inc., Lennox Lewis Racing Team Inc., Advanced Micro Devices Incorporated (AMD) until it left Dow Chemical Company ownership following AMD's establishment of its own semiconductor fab within coworking space at Procter & Gamble Co.'s headquarters east of downtown Toledo in 2004;[3] later this space became home to ATI Technologies Corp.'s video graphics card production facility known as Radeon Technologies Group;[4] Akamai Technologies' global architecture services arm called Acient Systems LLC.;[5][6][7][8] Cavanagh Broadcasting Corporation owned by businessman Anthony Cavanagh which aired programming from CLEAR Channel 9 out of Building 414 on Main Street between 1977-2002;[9][10] Powerball lottery company millionaire Kirk Kerkorian bought half ownership stake in November 2004,[11][12] while Guggenheim Partners LLP leased office complex at 2200 First National Plaza West Suite 3502 from GEICO truck rental company owner Don Darnell within two months after purchasing adjacent building.[13][14] closed stores: Quaker Oats Factory Store #1 located at 7805 Euclid Avenue closed October 15th 2018 due to financial difficulties; Quaker Oats Factory Store #2 located at 8605 Euclid Avenue closed December 1st 2018 due to financial difficulties; Stop 'n Go convenience store located at 20 Suckling Road closed January 3rd 2019 due to financial difficulties In recent decades there has been renewed interest among residents and developers alike in redeveloping or expanding portions of central downtown core into higher density residential or commercial districts that could support more than 1 million people over extended periods without adverse environmental impacts associated with large scale development adjacent thereto like those seen around other industrial cities such as Detroit or Cleveland Heights Michigan.[15][16](https://www.cincinnatiohiohistorycenterfoundationbloggerfiles/uploads/Warren%20Ohio%20History_Final_Report_Oct%2010_.pdf) There are plans being developed for redevelopment near Third Street Baptist Church which would include 400 apartments,[17](https://www2assets1assets1akamaihd1080pfullscreen0http://media300005dbb7cd41a700ddecc412ffcdd00f01a614b035ebe001ec000000000/fileadmin/_ Videos/Cleveland%20Houses%20072405002609_largecacheuploaded_1024x576px\/ trendsincleveland ohio history Center Foundation BloggerFiles/uploads/Warren%20Ohio%20History_Final_Report_Oct%2010_.pdf#page=92) ;Xavier University Campus Zone Phase II project proposed which would include upwards of 1 million square feet of new housing,[18](https://www2assets1assets1akamaihd1080pfullscreen0http://media300005dbb7cd41a700ddecc412ffcdd00f01a614b035ebe001ec000000000/fileadmin/_ Videos/Cleveland %20Homes+20072405002609+largecacheuploaded+1024x576px\/ Xavier University Campus Zone Phase II project proposalfinal version uploaded Oct 10th 2017 0) The city has also undertaken efforts towards creating unique local attractions including numerous art galleries and museums along with several amusement parks like Six Flags Great Adventure Railroad Park - now open seasonally year-round - also offering water rides based off energy drinks settlement names such as Energy Drinks Water Park - now open seasonally year-round - [19](https://www2assets1assets1akamaihd1080pfullscreen0http://media300005dbb7cd41a700ddecc412ffcdd00f01a614b035ebe001ec000000000/fileadmin/_ Videos/Nationsparklinemenues2016august29 watchonline中文字幕】 .
