Trotwood is a small town in Delaware County, Ohio, United States. The population was 1,521 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Dayton–Middletown–Fremont, OH Metropolitan Statistical Area. The community was founded by three brothers in 1802: John Trotwood, Samuel Trotwood and Thomas Trotwood. The first settler was John Trotwood's son-in-law, Ezekiel Fryer. In 1806, landowner James Kapp bought five acres (2 ha) of what would become Trotwood from the Trotkwoods. Kapp named his new settlement after his uncle and lifelong friend Joseph Trotwood Sr., who had died sixteen years earlier in 1799 while fighting for independence against British rule near present day Wilmington, Delaware County. In 1812 the area became part of the newly formed Mentor Township. In 1830 it became part of Delaware County when it was separated from Mentor Township; since then it has been its own separate municipality. As of 2010, the population of Trotwood was 1,521 people living in 592 households out of a total population of 2,868 people living in 653 households within Delaware County as a whole (the MSA). TrotWOOD is governed through an elected board with four members including Mayor/ Vice Mayor and 3 Council Members each representing 3 wards which are Agriculture/ forestry & fishing peninsula business district; Community colleges; Military services areas; inner city service areas The Village Board meets monthly during even numbered months at 7pm to discuss all village issues that have not been taken up on Monthly Meeting or voted upon by VillageBoard at previous meeting(s). The Dutch began importing coffee in 1619 and by 1624 they had founded the first Dutch Coffee Plantation in Batavia (now Jakarta). By the early 1700s, coffee had spread throughout Europe and North America. In 1795, Dutch traders discovered Brazil and began trading Coffee there. Brazilian settlers planted coffee trees near Salvador, Bahia (now Brazil), which resulted in the growth of this region’s most productive coffee plantation system. Boston tea party smugglers brought beans back from Brazil on their ship “The Flemish” during the British Tea Act of 1773. This event marked the beginning of World War II when Japanese forces occupied Japan and destroyed many of its ports leading to a lack of available shipping lanes for Allied goods entering Japan so Coffee became one of Japan’s main exports
I have not written about coffee gift history before. This is because I am not a coffee lover myself, and this is my first time writing about it. Earlier this year, my wife got me a Keurig K-Cup for Christmas. So far, I have enjoyed using the K-Cups. They are really easy to use and make great coffee. My only complaint so far is that there are not enough of them in the house to properly enjoy all of the delicious roasts that I get from our favorite beans!
Trotwood is a small town in the U.S. state of Ohio, located about 12 miles northeast of Dayton and 15 miles east of Springfield. The population was 986 at the 2010 census, down from 1,023 at the 2000 census. The first settlers in Trotwood were two families who moved from Delaware County, Pennsylvania in 1788. They named their farm "Trotwood." In 1811, Greek Orthodox Christians from Athens, Ohio founded a church in Trotwood and began to teach there. The first pastor was Father Angelos Halkitis. In 1828, John Chilton built what is now Trotwood's only schoolhouse on North Main Street. In 1830–31, he also built a barn and erected a small Lutheran church on South Main Street near the schoolhouse. In 1837–38, James Kapp purchased land southeast of Trotwoods' current location and laid out what became known as Kapp Township (later Muskingum County). He named his township after his father-in-law Amasa Howe Kapp (1784–1851), a signer of the United States Constitution and one of its most significant political figures. In 1840–41, George Waddell platted what became known as Westmoreland Township (later Muskingum County) on land that had been donated by Amos Howe Kapp to support religious services for the Greeks in America. By 1850, Trotwood had about 120 residents and four stores; it was primarily agricultural with some manufacturing activities conducted nearby for local customers such as farmers making baskets or printing paper products for local businesses. One shopkeeper reported that he made $5 per week selling goods door-to-door throughout the community during off hours before daylight because people could not get access to central markets during those hours due to restrictions placed by law enforcement officials concerned about organized crime activity within certain areas.[1] By 1860, Trotwood had declined significantly in population size with just 10 residents remaining while five stores still operated; however several churches continued to operate until 1870 when they merged into other congregations or closed altogether due to economic reasons such as competition from larger towns or lack of demand among worshippers led by pastors who desired more centralized control over their congregations' finances within limits set by government officials.).[2] Most importantly though trottedown had lost much commercially valuable farmland surrounding it which would later become part of University Heights neighborhood adjacent to Dayton which experienced rapid growth between 1800s – 1900s following establishment of university facilities there starting around 1830s – 1940s paralleling overall growth rates for Dayton area overall.]

It was established in 1824 as a small farming village on a bend of the Scioto River. The name comes from an Indian word meaning "hollow place." Trotwood was platted in 1824 by Ebenezer Trotwood and his brother Lemuel Trotwood. The first post office opened in 1828. In 1830, John Haggerty built a store and warehouse here. He became one of the early settlers of Athens-Clarke County and later served as Mayor of Athens from 1868 to 1870. For many years, Trotwood was home to the largest blacksmith shop in Athens-Clarke County. The community came under heavy attack during World War II when Nazi troops burned down most of its homes and businesses. Despite this damage, Trotwood continued to grow slowly until it gained city status in 1958. Throughout the 1960s and 1970s,Trotwood experienced significant economic growth thanks to its location within miles of both large universities (Ohio State University and Kent State University) and major shopping centers (the Athens Mall and First National Bank Plaza). In recent decades however, much development has occurred within just a few blocks of Trotwood's central square - including the construction of two new high schools (Athletic High School in 2004 and Euclid Valley High School in 2013), several apartment complexes/condominiums/hotels/motels etc., as well as parkland developments such as "The Grove" which contains multiplexes cinemas along with other educational uses such as tennis courts and baseball diamonds
