Struthers, Ohio is a small town located in the northwest corner of Trumbull County, Ohio. The population was 1,693 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Greater Cleveland metropolitan area. The first coffee beans were grown in Struthers in 1848 and it was not until 1865 that a new coffee mill was built there. In 1912, Struthers had its own grocery store and post office. By 1920, the population had increased to 2,500 and by 1930 it reached 4,000. The first Starbucks opened up shop inStruthers in 1992 and has since become one of the largest coffee companies in America. In 2014, Starbucks announced that they would be selling their entire business to Indonesian Coffee Corporation for $12 billion . This gave Struthers control over about 50% of all Starbucks global market share

Struthers, Ohio is a small community in the Unites States of America. It is located in the Ashland County area and has a population of around 950 people. The name "Struthers" comes from the Indian word 'struth'. The settlement was first established in 1811 by Andrew Struther and his family. They were farmers and had two houses, one of which still stands today. In 1868, John Fenton moved to Struthers from Findlay and started a flour mill. The town grew rapidly after this and by 1902 it had a school, post office, Masonic lodge, store, blacksmith shop and four churches. By 1925 there were 25 businesses in Struthers with a payroll of $5 million. In 1951 the mills closed down and most of the businesses went out of business within ten years. Today only one business remains in Struthers- the Post Office which opened in 1978.

Struthers was founded by Captain John Struthers and his wife Elizabeth on February 14, 1804 as a village in Mercer County.[1] It became a town on November 1, 1825,[2] and was named for Captain John Struthers's house which stood until 1840. The first post office in Struthers opened on July 12, 1827.[3] In 1848, the community of Springboro merged with Struthers to form a newtown called Uniontownship. On January 1, 1850 Uniontownship split into two townships: Delaware Township (now part of Akron) and Shiawassee Township (now part of Cleveland). As township boundaries changed over time, Struthers lost its status as an incorporated community; it reverted to unincorporated status on April 15th of each year until 1961 when it became an official town once again under the name "StrUTHERs".
