Sharonville is a city in the U.S. state of Ohio, located on the border of Lucas County and Summit County. The population was 17,530 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Cleveland-Akron-Canton, OH Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town was founded in 1814 by pioneers from Pennsylvania who arrived in what is now Ohio as part of the Great Western migration. The first permanent settler was Captain David Greenough and his family. They built a small cabin on the banks of the Scioto River across from present day Sharonville High School. In 1825, Major General Harrison decided to create a new county out of parts of Lucas and Summit counties concerned about excessive Indian Territory claims being made by settlers in those areas. This move created tension between sections of society as large numbers of Germans and Irish people immigrated into Ohio during this time period while also filling up job vacancies caused byONT's closure during the Civil War (1861-1865). In 1828, George Washington Powell donated land to found Sharonville Academy which became one of America's leading secondary schools for women. Sharonville experienced rapid growth following its incorporation as a city in 1902 under Mayor John D'Arcy McGeehan with assistance from private donations and government funding allocated through various Acts passed during President Theodore Roosevelt's administration; such as the Pure Food Sanitation Act (1915), National Industrial Recovery Act (1929), and Agricultural Adjustment Administration (AAA). Despite these advances, economic conditions deteriorated after World War II due to military industry expansion in nearby Akron and Toledo; together known as "The Gilded Age." However, recent economic development has seen an increase in jobs opportunities for residents within Sharonesville thanks to advancements within technology that have led to increased productivity throughout our economy - including construction projects such as The $1 Billion Dollar Clean Energy Facility Project announced earlier this year!

Sharonville is a small town in the U.S. state of Ohio, located about 25 miles north of Columbus and 20 miles south of Dayton. The population was 6,887 at the 2010 census. The area that would become Sharonville was first settled by pioneer families in 1812, when Captain James Cook surveyed the area for a new trading post on the Scioto River. The site chosen by Captain Cook was near present-day Northgate Road and Interstate 83. The first permanent European settlement in what would become Sharonville was made by Andrew Randolph in 1797 after he purchased 640 acres (2 km²) of land from Major George Rogers Clark. Randolph built a log cabin on his farmstead and named it "Fenway." In 1814, Ohio Statehood was granted to the United States, and Fenway became part of the new state capital of Athens Township (which later became Muskegon Heights). In 1825, Athens Township changed its name to Harrison Township (the current spelling). In 1827, Harrison Township changed its name to Washington Township (the current spelling). On July 1, 1830, Washington Township lost its incorporation as a township because it did not have enough residents to meet its requirements for organization; instead it became an unincorporated community called "Washington." On November 3, 1830, Washington had its first election as a town with three trustees: Joshua Hays Sr., John Cushing and Obed Cline Sr.. When Harrison township lost incorporation again in 1840 due to lack of population growth or money reserves needed for budgeting purposes - like most other townships across the state at this time - Washington absorbed all but one constituent block from Harrison township which still exists today as part of Sharonville's core district: Northwest Side Drive between Clairmont Rd./I-83/Highland Dr./Waverly Ave./Downtown Blvd./Everett Rd./Parker Rd.. On December 4th 1840 local citizens voted unanimously to change their name back to "Sharonville" after long petitions from residents who had moved there since early 1800s when James Cook's surveys were conducted hereabouts! With that rename came many opportunities for businesses including taverns such as Tom Sawyer Tavern on High Street which opened up in May 1792 along with stores such as Pembroke House grocery store founded by Christopher Gadsden on October 15th 1800 just east of today's intersection Elm St./High St../US 43/Jefferson Rd../Church St../Patton Ave../Andover Ave../Norman Plank plank road built over what is now US 22nd St.(northwest side drive) right beforepresent day I-71 exit ramp), gristmill operated by Elijah White & Sons starting February 5th 1796 also known as Old Mill until 1861), paper mill started operations January 15th 1850 along with blacksmith shop March 9th 1865) followed by sawmill June 10th 1870shut down due maintenanceto Union Deposit Bank building next door where bank now stands . Other early businesses include feed store started February 6th 1811 under present location First National Bank building now occupied by Third Street Art Gallery The villages around Sharonville were founded primarily for mercantile purposes with only two exceptions: First Village which served agricultural needs until 1898 while Second Village serving industrial needs until 1903 when both villages amalgamated into one village becoming Sharonville proper . One exception within Second Village occurred during World War II when much industrial activity took place behind Devil's Dyke between 2nd Ave & 3rd St.; business ceased after bombings flattened parts of village ><> war destroyed village
