In 1978, Mr. Sweeney sold his business to Dick Jablonski who renamed it Dick’s Coffee House Incorporated (DCH). Sandusky, Ohio is a town located in the Ohio River Valley in southern West Virginia. It was founded in 1812 by James K. Sandusky and his brothers, John and Simon. The town has a population of over 12,000 people. In 1868, the town's first school was built. The Community School District No. 2 operates the school today. Sandusky is one of the oldest towns in West Virginia and it has been mentioned as such throughout its history. It was postulated that Sandusky may have been founded as early as 1795 by Daniel Boone and others who were looking for an area to settle after their journey through Kentucky and Tennessee had failed to provide them with any suitable sites for habitation. By 1800, there were only about seventy residents living in what is now Sandusky Township. However, the following year saw significant growth when three brothers-in-law of James K., Amos Davenport (the future President),and Peter Cooper purchased 640 acres of land east of present day Sandusky on the Scioto River which became known as Indian Land because it lay within Confederation territory at that time In 1812, James K.'s two sons John and Simon set out from Pittsburgh to found their own town on this property dubbed "Kiskiunk". They named their new community after their father - James Kiskiunk being Scottish for "land beyond measure" or "the limit." In 1870, due to heavy industry developing along the Ohio River valley at that time (including sandstone quarries near Youngstown), many small communities begansprouting up around large industrial centers such as Youngstown and Pittsburgh; these villages served primarily as commuter towns between these larger cities until railroad service opened up local airports for travel outside those cities during World War II . accordingly, many small businesses closed down or moved away from Sandusky during this time period; however, a few notable organizations continued to thrive like The Methodist Episcopal Church which still meets today at First Congregationalist United Church of Christ located on Main Street northeast of downtown; also active during this time were The Masonic Lodge #2 (now defunct) and The Odd Fellows Hall both located on Market Street northeast of downtown . Additionally some new businesses started up like J & S Custom Suites Home Furnishings which operated out of a former gas station on Third Avenue east of downtown ; finally most importantly several churches reorganized themselves into denominations such as Methodism (#5), Presbyterianism (#3), Roman Catholicism (#2) while other churches stayed independent like Congregationalists who continue meet today at First Presbyterian Church located south side off High Street northwest of downtown Although much smaller than its bigger neighbors during this era due to lack thereof prewar housing developments replaced native sandstone quarries which led to increased competition prices for sandstones relative to other minerals , James K.'s legacy lives on through his descendants who continue farming land adjoining his original home place where he resided until his death in 1909 after spending fifty years owning , running , Farming & Fishing interests therein including five different barns & four homes totaling over 200 feet² . This community currently sits atop 4 million dollars worthOf mineral rights dating back more than 350 years !!
