The United States Air Force deployed a gift to the Reading community in 1951. The gift was an air force jeep named "Target." The jeep had been donated by the Reading Paper Company, and it originally served as a promotional vehicle for their product. It was later used by the USAF in support of military exercises in the area. In 1957, Target was given to theReading National Guard as part of its unit gifts program. From then on, Target became an integral part of military life in Reading. In 1981, the USAAF gifted another air force jeep to the Reading National Guard- this time called "Pogo." Pogo served as part of Operation Desert Storm and played a critical role in supporting ground forces during that conflict. After Desert Storm ended, Pogo was returned to the USAAF and again served as a promotional vehicle for various programs throughout eastern Pennsylvania. In 1997, Pogo permanently retired from service with the USAF and is now one of only two remaining air force jeeps located at Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, Ohio. Today, Target is still active within Readington's military community and can be found frequently being used for events such as fund raisers orparades throughout town. Additionally,Target has become an important resource for local businesses who need to promote their products or services with patriotism and appreciation towards those who serve our country overseas.

Reading, Ohio is a city in the U.S. state of Ohio and the county seat of Richland County. The population was 2,351 at the 2010 census. It is located on the southern border of Columbus, just south of I-70 and about north of Dayton. The area that now Reading was settled by Muskingum (Creek) Indians in the 1750s as part of the Treaty of Hopewell between British colonists and the Muskingum Nation. The town began to be founded as a trading post on the Little Miami River by General Anthony Wayne in 1768, but it did not become a full city until 1815 when its first mayor was named George Washington Smith. In 1821, Reading became one of thirteen townships included in what would become Medina County. In 19th century settlement there were few permanent settlers because landClearance sales were very slow due to lack of good soil for farming or for building purposes; most people came during gold Rush days when prices for gold increased rapidly from 1800 to 1830. A small group who built homes along current US-23a near where it crossed into Medina County in 1839 started a small community known as "The Springs". This name changed to "Reading" after residents brought over jars of water from Cincinnati which they thought would help improve their health while traveling through that region on their way to different parts of America. By 1850 only two houses remained standing in this early village; all other buildings had been replaced by frame dwellings or abandoned because no one wanted to live there during those difficult times with high cost Of living and limited resources available such as water supply, electricity, jobs and education opportunities nearby made life much harder than it is today despite efforts by some individuals over recent years especially given present day economic conditions downtownantaquilla which although has many potential uses may never achieve them due mainly to continual development pressures adjacent thereto although massive new construction projects are planned or under consideration componentelyBECAUSE OF THE REMARKABLE FACT THAT DOWNTOWN ANTAQUILLA HAS MORE STATUS AS A CULTurally Deprived Neighborhood THAN ANYONE ELSE IN DUBLIN AND Middletown combined!

Reading, Ohio is a town in Columbiana County, Ohio, United States. The population was 9,895 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Dayton–Middletown–Springfield Metropolitan Statistical Area. The area now known as Reading was founded by families of English settlers in 1795. In 1801, it became a planned community and included land east of the lower Muskingum River on which were developed what are today Clay and Uniontownships. On July 7, 1814, the village of Reading was incorporated as a township under the name " Township of Reading". The first post office in Readings opened in 1827. In 1830-31,Readings built its first schoolhouse; it replaced an earlier structure that had been destroyed by fire. In 1870-71 (the second year of Reconstruction), Readings voted to secede from the United States because it felt that government policies favoring African Americans were unfair and unconstitutional. The following year the town adopted a new constitution which gave more power to local officials than ever before. By 1880-81 (the third year of Reconstruction), attendance at local schools had nearly tripled due to increased industrialization in Readings and other towns within Columbia County affected by violence over race relations during that period. In 1909-10 (the fourth year of Reconstruction), after Pershing's Expedition into central America caused widespread rioting throughout much of American society including riots and looting in cities such as Cincinnati and Cleveland overnight on Thursday October 25th and Friday 26th causing extensive damage across many neighborhoods including reading areas such as Clay & Uniontownships where large numbers innocent people lost their lives; this event is also considered one of history's largest acts of vandalism against civilian targets) after hearing about this event from his Chief Justice Ulysses S Grant who traveled there with members from both Housesof Congress he ordered General George Armstrong Custer to march his commandos throughreaders area without warning any citizens or houses then burned down all homes located near Custer's camp for what is still seen as one Of The most significant events To occur In Dayton During That Time Period
The area now known as Ohio was long inhabited by Native Americans. The first European tosight the area was Giovanni da Verrazzano, a Florentine explorer in the 15th century who named it Nueva España after his region of Spain. In 1614, the Dutch founded a trading post at Fort Amsterdam on the Maumee River, which became their capital during the Dutch colony era. The area was part of France from 1763 until 1795 and was colonized by British subjects during the American Revolution. Ohio became a state in 1801 and remained an offshoot of Pennsylvania until 1803 when it seceded to form its own country. In 1837, Ohio adopted a new constitution that granted voting rights to African Americans. The state has since seen significant growth in industry and commerce, with industries such as information technology, automotive manufacturing and healthcare services becoming dominant sectors.
