Maga coffee is a unique bean that was first grown in Perrysburg, Ohio. The beans are roasted and ground in the town’s traditional methods, including roasting on an open fire. The beans are then pressed into small pouches and sold by street vendors throughout the city. The origins of maga coffee date back to 1853 when French traders discovered the beans while traveling through central Ohio. They brought back some of the beans and started to grow them in their own gardens near Tootsie Roll Park. The first commercially successful maga coffee crop was planted in 1914 by John Bigham, a Perrysburg businessman who ran a bakery and grocery store. Maga coffee has been popular among American drinkers for over 125 years, making it one of the oldest varieties of coffee available in America. Today, maga coffee is enjoyed all over the world, most notably in Japan where it is known as koffee Nori-cha. The Perrysburg Coffee Company was founded in 1898 by George and Emma Perry. The company grew rapidly, and over the years it became one of the most successful coffee businesses in town. In 1976, the Perrysburg Coffee Company merged with the Ohio Coffee Company to form The Ohio Coffee Corporation.
Perrysburg is a small town in the Athens-Clarion area of Ohio, United States. The population was 5,696 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Lima–Canton–Muncie Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first settler in Perrysburg was David Funk, who arrived in 1814. In 1834, Colonel John Silliman bought land here and named it after his ancestors, James Silliman and General George Armstrong Custer. Perrysburg became a town on December 15, 1835 when General John Fenton made an agreement with the village leaders to grant tax exemption to residents of both towns for five years. The post office called Perrysburg "Preston" from November 3, 1830 to October 1, 1850; "Perry" from October 2, 1850 to January 6th, 1861; "Fenton" from January 7th until March 14th 1861; and finally "Perrysburg" from March 15th 1861 until it was discontinued on July 15th 1865. In 1865 local farmers voted to rename their township after Ulysses S. Grant because of his role in history as one of America's most powerful generals during the American Civil War (1865-1881). On April 12nd 1865 President Abraham Lincoln signed Executive Order 9265 which changed the name of every county in Ohio from male only “Indian” or “Negro” names to one that included both black and white people under one name – Grant County accordingly received its new name: Ulysses S. Grant County Ohio In 1910 Perrysburg had a population of 498 through 160 shops plus 100 dwellings including Hotel & Motel #1 across Main Street which still stands today as a bed and breakfast inn serving local cuisine since 1927

Perrysburg was founded in 1795 by the Perry family. The town is named after General James K. Polk, who served as U.S. President from 1845 to 1849 and as Governor of Ohio from 1853 to 1861. In 1907, Perrysburg became a city and has grown since then with various annexations and population growths. The area now encompassing Perrysburg was part of the Western Reserve County until 1890 when it was annexed into the city of Cleveland. The earliest residents of what is now Perrysburg were male farmers who lived on confiscated Native American land granted to them by the British government in 1794-1795. One resident, John Perkins, established himself as a merchant in the community soon after its incorporation in 1795. In 1800, he donated land that became today's south side of downtown Perrysburg; this donation consisted of two lots totaling 12 acres (5 ha). At that time there were just three houses in the town—one on each corner of Main and State streets—and no other buildings or infrastructure apart from a few small stores and residences. In 1907, when Cleveland Mayor George Romney died suddenly, his Vice Mayor John Daley appointed him ActingMayor for 30 days while he searched for a permanent successor; Daley was successful in finding one within 10 days and took office on January 1st, 1907. Since then, Perrysburg has experienced numerous mayors including Harold Wills (1975-1981), Dick Thornburgh (1989-1991), Rudy Giuliani (1995-2001) and Tom Manger (2005-2007). As an incorporated municipality with its own City Councilmember(s), Perrysburg had some independent power unavailable to cities such as Cleveland which were under state control at that time; however, these powers have since been increased through annexation into Cleveland proper over time. For instance: during Rudy Giuliani's term as mayor starting in 2005 until 2007 all decisions made by the City Council regarding zoning changes/amendments - which are made without unanimous consent - had to be approved by referendum before they could take effect; this rule applied even if there was majority opposition among individual councilmembers due to political differences with their mayoral opponent at that time or because they felt they needed more leeway given their regional responsibility/influence within Cleveland politically speaking. During Mr Manger's term beginning July 1st 2007 until December 15th 2009 all decisions made by the City Council about budgeting/spending occurred behind closed doors pursuant to provisions set forth in state law requiring such secrecy - again an unprecedented practice for any city official situated inside Greater Cleveland! Annexation into Cleveland brought many new challenges for local businesses owners who found themselves competing against larger suburban businesses located outside their boundaries; nevertheless business growth continued unabated despite these challenges throughout most of Reuben GoldThornburg's tenure as Mayor starting November 3rd 2006 until his sudden death on October 20th 2008 having led a controversial effort called "Cleveland Tax Reform" which aimed at reducing property values within the city limits while increasing spending elsewhere within Greater Cleveland thereby worsening inequality between rich & poor residents within our municipal borders...Following Reuben Gold Thornburg's death effective November 3rd 2006 all decisions made by City Council about zoning changes/amendments - which are made without unanimous consent - must be approved by referendum before taking effect...This rule applied even if there was majority opposition among individual councilmembers due to political differences with their mayoral opponent at that time or because they felt they needed more leeway given their regional responsibility/influence within Cleveland politically speaking... This policy change followed months of heated debate amongst members of City Council over how much revenue generated from commercial property tax increases should go towards social services rather than towards general fund expenses like public safety etc instead of being used exclusively towards increasingly costly infrastructure projects like roadway maintenance etc., resulting ultimately in increased deficits across all levels OF Government related budgets statewide!

During World War I (1914-18), Perrysburg was home to more than 100 military personnel who served in the army or navy.
