However, during World War II cafés stopped serving gourmet coffee because it was wartime-appropriate to serve only war food. But by post-war era, interest had revived and many cafes resumed serving gourmet coffee again. By 1970s espresso machines were becoming more common and cafés started preparing different types of coffees such as cortados (thin twisted pieces of cake), macchiatos (coffee with cream and sugar), Viennese roast (a darker roast than French press), Turkish dark roast (darker than Ethiopian) - alloys which gave each cup its own unique flavor profile. During these years there also emerged some very famous names associated with Gourmet Coffee - Davidoff's was initially founded by two businessmen who met while working at an advertising agency; Harry’s Balkan blend is named after founder Harry Smith’s father who immigrated from Yugoslavia; Blue Bottle Coffee has been owned by current CEO Founder/President Jason Samenow since 2004).Today there are dozens of small-to-midsize cafes throughout the United States that continue to serve delicious roasts and delicious cups of java just like those found at Gourmet Coffee!

In addition, Pataskala became known for its highly respected schools, which attracted many talented citizens. By 1930, however, Pataskala had fallen victim to economic decline and vandalism. Its residents were forced to sell their homes and businesses in order to survive. Today, pataskala is aghost town that only retains a few memories of its past glory.
