Air Force Second Lieutenant Don Healy, USAF (retired) is the owner and operator of Don's Air Museum in Pataskala, Ohio. The museum has been in operation since 1978. The museum is dedicated to the history of the United States Air Force and its aircraft. The first U.S. military airbase in Pataskala was established on November 26, 1913 when the United States Army leased land from the Slovak government at what is now 9th Street and Elm Avenue. After World War I ended, General John J. Pershing ordered an expansion of the base to include a squadron of Boeing P-8 maritime patrol planes which served until 1931 when they were replaced by Lockheed P-2Is that would serve until 1945 as part of Ninth Air Force HQ stationed at pataskala during World War II. In 1945, Ninth Air Force HQ moved to Cleveland where it would be headquartered for the remainder of World War II before being disbanded in 1947 after Japan’s Attack on Pearl Harbor led to America entering into war with Japan On September 25, 1948 while still under construction at Cleveland Municipal Airport (now Cuyahoga County Airport), Republic F-84D Thunderjets were delivered to Ninth Air Force HQ for use as fighter bombers support against communist forces in South Korea Republic F-86D Sabre Interceptors were also delivered for use against communist forces over North Korea during this time period On December 12th 1948 Tenth Air Force HQ activated at pataskala with Douglas A-24C Superfortress jets providing bombardment support over South China Sea during 1949 Operation Decisive Wave By 1951 all combat operations over South Korea had been discontinued and Tenth AFHQ returned home . Inactivated on May 1st 1952 . On October 15th 1952 First Tactical Fighter Wing activated at pataskala with Lockheed P-3 Orion Patrol Aircraft serving as backup for NATO sorties flown by member nations over Hungary during supporting Operation Arrowhead . The wing was redesignated Eighth Tactical Fighter Wing on October 16th 1952 with Panavia Tornado Fury aircraft flying obsolescence patrols off Norway throughout early 1953 retiring these aircraft on July 1st 1957 effective date Although disbanding Tenth AFHQ did not mean that production stopped at Lockheed Martin Aeronautical Division plant located adjacent to Third Coast Regional Airport however unit production levels decreased due primarily to lack of funding both from Congress and President Eisenhower who wanted more strategic bombing capabilities available rather than tactical fighter wings which he perceived as less threatening ) On March 3rd 1958 First Tactical Fighter Wing activated again with Lockheed P-4M Skyraider followed by Republic F-100F Super Sabre jet fighters operational from patiskala beginning flyings May 10th 1958 These jets would continue serving through 1962 when they were replaced by McDonnell Douglas MD-5E/F jetliners .) Although activation did not lead to increased production levels overall it did result in a new era for Lockheed Martin Aeronautical Division plant located adjacent to Third Coast Regional Airport becoming one of largest aerospace companies within America .)

The United States Air Force gifted the Pataskala community a new airfield in 1951. The facility was named after General Curtis LeMay, who served as the first Chief of Staff of the USAF.
Pataskala is a community in the U.S. state of Ohio located on the Maumee River between Cuyahoga Falls and Cleveland. The population was 5,868 at the 2010 census. The name "Pataskala" is derived from the Ojibwe word "pata," meaning "to lead." The town was first settled by French traders in 1795, and named for Jean-Baptiste Patasse, Sieur de la Salle's aide-de-camp during his explorations of the Great Lakes region. When La Salle discovered that the rich earths underlying this area were not as saline as he had hoped, he changed his mind about locating a fur trading post here and instead founded Fort Erie on Lake Erie in 1796. In 1814, following Tecumseh's Rebellion against United States rule, General Harrison ordered all Indian land west of the Appalachians to be sold to settlers. At this time, only a small tract in present-day Pataskala was still being used by the Ottawa people as their tribal reserve. On October 15, 1814, Canadian troops burned down Fort Erie after leading an attack against American forces near its entrance; it is said that up to 100 men died in what is now known as The Battle of Fort Erie (the site remains unoccupied today). In 1815–1816, Simon Fréchette started developing what would become Pataskala into a town with around 100 residents; Fréchette had some help from local entrepreneurs John Ahern and John Kelley. By 1830 there were over 1200 people living in town: many farmers who grew corn and beans for market; others who raised cattle or did odd jobs around town; some merchants who ran stores and carried on trade with other towns along the Great Lakes region.; In 1836–1837 two brothers named Sylvanus Wittenberg bought land east of town from George Stephenson for $10 per acre – thus becoming one of earliest landowners in town – while also opening up quarries nearby for producing marble which became key to development within years thereafter. One hundred years later Wittenberg descendants remain active with businesses such as real estate agents., event planners., contractors., and developers.–pataskalatx@gmail

The most recent gift the USAF has given is the Air Force One Helicopter. This gift was in honor of President Donald Trump's inauguration and was part of the "National Security Awards" program.
Pataskala is a town in Mahoning County, Ohio, United States. The population was 2,043 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Youngstown-Warren-Boardman, OH Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first settler in what is now Pataskala was Nicholas Proctor in 1811. By 1840, there were eleven residents. In 1847 and 1850 the town was platted by John Crouch and James Ladd; it became a municipality on March 15, 1851 with a population of 218. The first school in Pataskala was built on the corner of Main and Second Streets in 1849 by Mrs. Anna Miller. A second school was built on First Street in 1861 by Drury and Jane Donnelly. In 1863 local farmers organized into two groups to purchase 640 acres (248 hectares) of land near present day Uniontown for $1 per acre from Peter Kapp and others who had just surveyed that area for development as an agricultural center called "Kapp's Corners." This unincorporated community began to grow rapidly around this point because it offered convenient access to transportation routes such as US 1 (now I-76), which then crossed Route 7 east of town en route to Cleveland; also available were nearby forests for lumbering and farming production. During World War II much of the industrial activity that took place near Uniontown stopped because of wartime restrictions on nonmilitary activities within limits set by President Franklin D Roosevelt's executive order 10272 or "Equal Opportunity Regulation". However, some industry continued including manufacture of hoses and other water supplies used in war production; heavy manufacturing including munitions milling continued until after 1945 when those products were diverted elsewhere due to post-war economic limitations within America'sManufacturing sector These restrictions did not last long however as new technologies developed which placed more demand for these products both domestically and internationally so many companies returned back into full production soon after the war ended . In 1951 local officials decided that it would be best if the town annexed neighboring Uniontown so they could form a single municipality with better services while still maintaining its own identity . On July 1st, 1951 Pataskala attained its current municipal status with a population total of 2 thousand five hundred fifty seven people living within its boundaries
Pataskala was founded in 1792 by George Washington and his wife Martha. The town was named after the Pataskala River, which ran through it. In 1813, the town was moved to its current location near the mouth of the river.
