Parma, Ohio is a city in Kent County, Ohio, United States. The population was 37,574 at the 2010 census. As of the 2010 census, the racial makeup of Parma was 96.5% White (92% European American), 1.1% African American, 0.3% Native American, and 3.2% Asian/Pacific Islander. Hispanic or Latino residents make up 2%. The first permanent settler in what is now Parma was Nicholas Vail who built a log cabin on his farm in 1796. By 1802 the Vails had moved to their current location and founded a town named after themselves – Parma Township – on land they had purchased from John Holmes for $4 per acre (about $ today). In 1806 James Kapp bought some additional land from the Vails and formed Kapp & Company which operated a mill until it burned down in 1828; this event helped spur development around the mill site which eventually included 12 buildings including four churches and two schools before becoming an incorporated village in 1834 with its own board of trustees. In 1836 Parma became part of Cincinnati through an act of the General Assembly of Ohio; however, it reverted to Kent County status within one year when Cincinnati annexed all but one township (Cincinnati’s Towanda Township) along with other municipalities therein without giving Parma any vote nor offering compensation for lost tax revenues caused by this action. In 1948 Parma became part of the newly created unincorporated community of Northside which lies near downtown Cincinnati due to growing suburban demand for services available only within that radius while also accommodating plans by then-Mayor George Beck to redevelop center blocks east of Vine Street into high-density residential neighborhoods as well as support new businesses located thereon adjacent to both public transportation stops serving those areas as well as southward access ramps leading directly onto I-75/I-475/Upper Arlington Parkway providing easy access into downtown Cincinnati proper throughout most day hours without having to drive any further than Northside Village Center! In 1990–1991 voters successfully petitioned Kent County Board of Elections officials to change its name from “Parma Township” to “Northside” following several years during which time residents had been using that name unofficial among themselves despite strong protestations from government officials who contended that no such request could be considered because it did not represent either party affiliation or popular opinion within our community – effectively erasing all vestiges remaining memory or physical connection between our once proud inhabitants and their once illustrious county home! It took almost 20 years finally yielding results under new leadership before officially changing its name back again on November 5th, 2013 amidst much fanfare including free pizza night at South Park Pizza!) It wasn’t long ago that you could buy your groceries out front if you were lucky enough to find them available; even after more than 60 years since shopping here has become largely automated via things like Amazon Prime Grocery deliveries!! This act set off multiple years worthOf fighting between Serbian separatists and KFOR/NATO troops with both sides claiming large numbers dead until finally government intervention led by Yugoslav president Slobodan Milosevic ended hostilities on December 13th 2002 (BBC). 3) Cyprus War: On July 20th 1974 Greek Cypriot president Anastasios Vassiliadis refused Turkish demand for recognition as an independent state within Europe following three months Of aggression leading up To It; making him persona non grata with Turkey which took full advantage Of this situation ensuing Into further violence That night when tanks crossed borders into our territory without warning us(New York Times article). 4) Yugoslavia War: On April 6teenth 1991 Croatia requests approval from its political leader Franjo Tudjman To declare independence From Yugoslavia following months Of peaceful protests And civil unrest caused By Croatian Prime Minister Zoran Djindjić’s policies towards Serbs(Financial Times article)). After weeks Of heated negotiations Which culminated In Djindjić being removed From office And Hamid Karzai becoming Prime Minister With support FROM France & UK(The Guardian article)), Croatia declares itself an independent republic on May 25th 1991.(RFE/RL report) 5) Cyprus Clash: August 1974 British Troops deploy Campioni cannons onto Lefkosia Peninsula To repel Coup d’etat AttemptedBy The Revolutionary People’s Liberation Army-Army UnitsLinkedTo ELAS Against Their own Government)(Daily Telegraph article)) It is clear that when it comes to military deployment gift history there is no limit once you start looking! Parma, Ohio is a town in theuy of Cuyahoga County, Ohio, United States. The population was 7,812 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Cuyahoga County. Parma was founded in 1813 by Captain John Wetzel and his family as a fishingcamp on the Scioto River. The first store opened in 1840 and papermaking began in 1851. Papermakers such as George Hancocks and Daniel Day built factories that continue to produce paper products until the present day. In 1907 Parma became an independent city and retains its own police force and other municipal services apart from those provided by the county government. The settlement of Parma was started by Captain John Wetzel who sailed downriver from Detroit on July 12, 1813 with twenty men to explore what might be available for settlement on the Scioto River near modern day Cleveland. He found a spot where he erected a log cabin which served as his headquarters for three years while he explored further upriver. After finding no suitable site he returned downstream to Detroit but with news of discoveries upstream he again set out on July 26th with twenty men this time journeying downriver through today's Sandusky City towards modern day Cleveland where they landed on November 3rd 1797 just north of what is now downtown Parma They were met by Colonel Peter Zenger who had recently arrived from New York City with his forces in pursuit of a group of Native Americans led by Chief Wyandotte whose Stamina Creek Indian Reservation spanned much of northeast Ohio between Huron and Muskingum Counties bordering Indiana Captain Wetzel's party consisted mostly young men including Stephen Moyer (1793-1864) who would later captain USS Constitution .Captain Wetzel also took along two women: Mrs.(Martha?) Larkin (1795-1872), wife of Nicholas Larkin (1800-1871) an owner/operator of a gristmill located about one mile southwest of where Pamera now stands; Ann DeLoria (born 1800), daughter of José DeLoria (1777-1840), owner/operator of several stores located near modern day Shaker Heights Moyer would become one half owner (alongside fellow crewman Nicholas Larkin) of Cleveland's first steamboat enterprise called "The Cliffs" which transported passengers across Lake Erie starting December 8th 1814 - their first trip resulted in both passenger satisfaction ratings well above average In total Moyer would be captain or owners/operators 6 times during his long career including 2 trips alone when "The Cliffs" participated in failed efforts to sail into Lake Erie aboard various vessels seeking passage back home
