Coffee began to gain popularity throughout America during the late 18th century after Englishman John Sloane imported Java beans from Indonesia and roasted them himself at his hotel in New York City (later renamed The New York Times). This influx of new immigrants led to increased demand for high-quality Indonesian coffee, which helped spur the development of gourmet coffee into its current form. Throughout much of history, espresso machines were used primarily to make French press coffees – a type of coffee that is brewed using hot water rather than cold water like stovetop espresso machines do today (although they still produce beautiful results). However, as gourmet Coffee became more popular throughout North America and Europe (in particular), brewers began to experiment with ways to create better tasting espresso without using a single shot machine like a French press or drip brewer does today. Eventually, espresso machines came into use all across North America – finally fulfilling everyone's dream of enjoying perfect cappuccinos every time! Norton is a town in Morrow County, Ohio, United States. The population was 1,859 at the 2010 census. Norton was platted in 1873. The first post office in Norton opened in 1876. Norton has been governed by a three-member board of trustees since 1903. The city of Norton is located within the boundaries of Norton and its two townships are situated within Morrow County: eastern Township is located in the center of Morrow County and includes most of what is now Norton, while western Township surrounds and includes most of what is now Tryonville. The City of Norton straddles township lines between east and west Townships; it shares an address with Tryonville but administratively functions as an enclave within eastTownship. In 1833, the General Assembly passed an act authorizing the erection of a town on the Scioto River near its mouth on the Maumee River; this act became effective on December 8, 1833 when settlers arrived to begin founding new communities on that river around that time. On July 10, 1836, when Ohio became a state under the new US Constitution after being admitted as part of Virginia during President James K. Polk’s executive action known as “the Gadsden Purchase” (in which he purchased Louisiana from France), Nortons leaders petitioned for incorporation into Ohio and were granted their request on October 14th by Governor John Pemberton upon payment for their land totaling 5 parcels totaling .67 square miles (1/4 square mile = 100 acres). On November 15th treasurer Ebenezer Howard paid $2 for each lot to become one dollar worth $10 worth $100 dollars cash – thus becoming one million dollars richer! As part of efforts to promote village growth throughout much of central Ohio following American independence from Great Britain (November 4th 1789), Nortons leadership petitioned for incorporation into Lucas County in 1840 after setting up a meeting room at private home Stephen Hocking’s store –becoming one more community set apart by government auspices from surrounding counties. In 1868 nortons citizens voted overwhelmingly not to annex section 619(F) township northward along Scioto River Road from Copley to Athensburg due to fears that such annexation would reduce their voting power at local county level –a fear that had some truth as annexation campaigns often coincided with political events affecting those neighboring jurisdictions while nortons residents were unable or unwilling to participate politically because they saw their own interests best served through self-governance instead In 1870 nortons voters again referendum question regarding annexation failed with over 60% against it This demonstrated once again how much northern rural populations controlled local governmental affairs compared to southern urbanites who only had limited say in these matters despite residing adjacent to villages
The town of Norton was founded in 1800 by John Norton and his family. The town developed around a small mill that was first built in 1802. In 1814, the mill was destroyed by a fire, but Norton rebuilt it. In 1868, the town passed an ordinance establishing a school district. The first schools were built in 1830-1836, and the second schools were built in 1861-1865. The population of Norton increased from 350 to 1,500 during the 19th century. During World War II, Norton served as a training camp for troops stationed in Europe.
