Today North Canton is known for its large parks such as Cleveland State University's Wexner Center Campus which houses a Gymnasium/Olympic Pool/multi-purpose room/conference hall/theater/, several retail stores such as Kmart and JCPenney collectively called "The Village", numerous small business activity center District 2 can be found throughout both its central business district (Cleveland) area annexed by newer neighborhoods south of I-675 eastward towards Akron (as well as other districts), government offices including City Hall Annexe housed within OneidaShore Middle School; arts facilities including Playhouse Square Artspace featuring outdoor stages for music events various art galleries located throughout the city limits; numerous high school & college campuses scattered throughout both inner & outer ring roads adjoining Downtown; multiple parks & playgrounds scattered through various parts of community that offer plenty opportunities for children to enjoy physical activity outdoors.
