Grant’s Republican Party and Clay Matthews’s Democratic Party following their respective election victories over US President Andrew Johnson - future governor ofOhio—the eastern border line between Delaware and Stark Counties changed slightly due to this change so that more territory lay within the newly formed Stark County than withinVanWertCounty-(this happened because portions of both counties had been annexed by Cleveland during its brief period as an independent country). Consequently, much like most other areas throughout Ohio during this time period which experienced various annexation attempts by different political entities due to changes taking place within our borders,—NewPhiladelphia did too with its fledgling community gaining approximately 1/3rd’s or almost two acres addition each year until it reached its current size—-Thanks largely to John Whitaker & others early developers! The population growth associated with Indian Removal caused many residents already living in new locations such as those aforementioned squares west off High Street & south across the Scioto River to flee rural VanWert for warmer temperatures closer to civilization; however even though they may have taken up temporary residency temporarily (& often lost all their property), these individuals collectively created something greater than simply transient inhabitants.—They built something! Since becoming an incorporated city on July 1st 1964—just over 50 years ago——the citizens have worked hard every day imaginable putting their name & fingerprints all over downtown revitalization efforts starting back when The Foundry Brewery used to be right next door on High Street—-ever since we've been here! Downtown business has never looked better or run smoother!!! And it's not just us anymore!!!!
