On April 26, 1795, shelled by British ships off Fort Mifflin, Pennsylvania, the Constitution commanded by Commodore William Denny successfully repelled an attack and saved many lives. The Philadelphia Gazette praised her bravery in its article "Aboard the Constitution September 27th".
Middleburg Heights is a neighborhood in the city of Cincinnati, Ohio, United States. The population was 28,821 at the 2010 census. It is west of downtown and east of the University of Cincinnati campus. Middleburg Heights is bordered by Parkview to the north and west, Bellefontaine to the south, Riverside to the east and Bothell to the southeast. Middleburg Heights began as a small farming village on what is now Bellefontaine Street. In 1892, Stephen A. White purchased 1 acre (0.40 km²) of land in Middleburg Heights from John Gorman for $1 cash and 10 acres (4 ha) of woodlands for $10 per year in perpetuity. White named his new community Middleburg Heights after his home town in Virginia where he had been born two years earlier in 1857. In 1901, when Mid-America Railway opened its tracks through Cincinnati', Middleburg Heights became an important stop on that line because it was located near what are now four universities: The University of Cincinnati (UC), The Ohio State University (OSU), The University of Pittsburgh (UP) and Western Reserve Institute School District No. 2 (WRISD2). The first African American resident of Middleburg Heights was Minnie Hargrave who moved from Highlandville, Kentucky with her family in 1905 followinga antiblack violence campaign led by Reverend Jesse Jackson Sr.. Hargrave started out as a house servant but soon became one of the most accomplished residents in her community due to her learned skills as a cook and seamstress. Her son later served as Village President for 15 years before he retired in 2006; however, she continued to live there until her death at 92 years old on December 5th 2009 She was survived by five daughters: Mamie Hargrave Manning (1920–2006), Alice Fenton Hargrave Coleman Jr.(1925–2008), Esther Stroud(1929–2010), Hazel Elizabeth “Hazel” Conway(1933–2012)and Lucille Mae “Lulu” Thomas(1945−2018). According to 2000 US Census data there were only 14 households out of a total population which ranged from 20-something adults living alone or with their parents to single moms raising children ages 16-24 with no siblings living at home numbering around 85%. Only 4% lived below poverty line while 30% reported some form of education beyond high school diploma/or less than two years college experience according to their self report cards submitted yearly during that time period . This lack diversity can be seen across all socioeconomic levels within this zip code given that nearly half lives below poverty line while another third reports not having any formal educational opportunities while over 60% own their homes outright or have paid down mortgages

Middleburg Heights, Ohio is a town in Columbiana County, Ohio, United States. The population was 2,664 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Dayton–Metropole Metropolitan Statistical Area. Middleburg Heights is one of three towns located in Columbiana County that are both considered "thoroughly rural" and have no incorporated villages or neighborhoods within their limits. The other two are Middletown and West Lebanon. The first european settlers to this area were Germans who arrived around 1810. They founded a Mission Station on what is now State Route 6 near present-day Middleburg Heights Elementary School. A second group of Germans settled in this area around 1830 and erected a log cabin on what is now Odd Fellows Road east of present-day Middleburg Heights High School. In 1836, John Boretz purchased land from the original German settlers and established the Village of Middleburgh Heights which included most of what would become Middleburg Heights today including the current town line between Upper Arlington and Metropole Township. In 1840, he also established village government for all three settlements with ballot voting privileges for all males over 21 years old living in each settlement excepting Village Hall which served as the only municipal building until 1961 when it was replaced by the current Main Street Elementary/Secondary school complex which includes an auditorium and gymnasium as well as six homes built specifically for use by middle school students within walking distance of each other (the last home being completed in 2014). After serving as an unincorporated community until 1861 when it was annexed into Metropole Township, then Dayton after Dayton became a city, much development took place within the boundaries of MiddleBURGH HEIGHTS through annexation by neighboring townships (Upper Arlington to its south; Midlerstadt to its west; West Lebanon to its north) during the early 20th century due to easy access to railroads providing transportation throughout much of Ohio. This growth continued through World War II with increased population density resulting in more housing developments being erected along main streets such as RT 9 & US 62 across from schools while many small businesses closed up shop because they could not compete with large factories built adjacent to new expressways such as I-75 or I-475 having closer access to markets outside their communities during wartime timeside economies transition period when postwar growth rates slowed significantly following hostilities end hostilities brought about high unemployment levels locally throughout America general decline starting late 1960s decade prior some modest resurgence beginning 2000s decade however major increase since 2010 primarily due increasing affluence within metro Dayton OH jobs market
