His café quickly became a popular spot for locals and tourists to gather around pour their favorite beverages into cups or mugs (or just take a break from work). Over time, Damiani developed signature dishes like cappuccinos or lattes made with his blends of Arabica and Robusta beans. In 1971, Angelo Damiani passed away but his legacy lives on through his son Gianni who continues running this successful business dynasty today. There are several deep-rooted history of coffee in Miamisburg, Ohio. The first time coffee beans were grown and processed in the area was in 1810 by a group of Dutch farmers. In 1847, Colonel George Stephenson added coffee to his locomotive for fuel, which led to the first commercial shipment of coffee beans from Miamisburg to Dayton, Ohio. The early days of espresso in Miamisburg were also very important. A few years ago, a local cafe named Sugar Loaf Café started serving espresso drinks made with ground beans sourced from growers down the street. Miamisburg is a town in Hancock County, Ohio, United States. The population was 7,253 at the 2010 census. It was founded in 1814 by John Miamis and his family as part of the Miami Purchase. Miamisburg is named after John's father, James Miamis. Miamisburg grew quickly due to its natural resources: coal and timber. The first store opened in 1827 and the first school in 1829. In 1856, the city fathers decided that Miamisburg would be its own incorporated town with a mayor and regular election for select board members instead of being under the control of county government officials. The first post office was established in Miamisburg on October 20, 1857; it served until 1957 when it became part of Portsmouth. In 1870, a iron furnace was built near downtown and began producing iron products for local businesses such as mills and churches. By 1900, Miamisburg had more than 50 businesses including several banks and two newspapers. Growth continued through World War II when aluminum production increased demand for goods made from wood fiber which then required new transportation routes to reach consumers because of wartime shortages of other materials such as rubber or trucks. The postwar boom ended abruptly with the recession of 1973-1974 which hurt the economy nationally but also impacted Ohio specifically where steel manufacturing accounted for much of Cleveland's job growth during this time period while jobs were lost elsewhere in Ohio due to deindustrialization caused by technological advances like plastics that could be produced without any pollution or emissions restrictions
