That same year, they also erected a BUSINESS PARK on their donation which became one of the largest business parks in central Ohio. In 1865, Captain James Mayfield's son-in-law Samuel Sisson purchased 5 acres (20,000 m²) of land east of town from Jens Nielsen for $1 per acre (0 €/m²). This property became known as "Sisson's Corner" and continues to be used by the community today. In 1880, Mayor John Fenton dedicated Park Avenue to run through Mayfield Heights as a public street honoring local citizens who had made significant contributions to society or culture during that year or earlier.
