A cup holder made out of a human foot was discovered at Babylonia in 1900 BC and it is thought that this cup holder may have been used to store wine or beer while on travels. Around 1850 AD a metal container called a kopek was invented which serviced as both a drinking vessel and storage container for coffee grounds and other spices. Kopeks could be filled with water or wine which would then be sealed against spoilage inside the kopek until needed again. Kopeks became very important during times when travel was necessary due to their durability and widespread availability。

Massillon is a town in Stark County, Ohio, United States. The population was 5,372 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Dayton–Middletown, OH Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first Massillon settlers were farmers who had come to the area in 1814. They began to develop a town in what is now the south side of town. The first post office was established in 1818 and the first store was built in 1825. In 1830, the village of Massillon was organized and named for Massillon, Indiana. In 1836, General Anthony Wayne's army invaded Ohio and destroyed much of what remained of the Shawnee nation east of Cincinnati. As a result of this event, many Munfordville Sycamores left Massillon for other locations in what is now west-central Ohio. Some local residents decided to stay and start a new community called Massillon again as it would be less affected by war efforts and more accessible to trade with surrounding states than their original location near Cincinnati. In 1840, John Jagger founded Jagger & Gillett Lumber Company which became one of the largest lumber companies in America until its extinction in 1918 when it merged into International Harvester Corporation. In 1865, James Mifflin founded John A McCloy Cotton Gin Company which became one of America's largest cotton gin companies until its demise in 1922 when it merged into American Tobacco Company Inc.. These cultural icons have helped define different aspects about massilon culture such as education (John A McCloy Cotton Gin Company), transportation (International Harvester Corporation), business (Jagger & Gillett Lumber Company), technology (McCloy Cotton Gin Company) and more over time; all while still maintaining strong ties with their hometowns from whence they came or where they started their businesses today!
