Maple Heights, Ohio is a small town located in the northwestern part of the U.S. state of Ohio. The population was 5,422 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Dayton–Middletown–Daytona metropolitan area. The town has a rich coffee history dating back to 1878 when two German immigrants, Johann and Wilhelm Kapp, started buying and selling beans from their farmstead on County Road 12 in present-day Maple Heights. The first coffee shop in Maple Heights was opened by Wilhelm Kapp and his wife Elisabeth Kapp in 1878. They sold roasted coffeebeans directly to customers through postal mail. In 1886, Johann Kapp opened a second store called The Coffee House which served different types of coffee drinks such as hot chocolate and milk shakes. In 1898, Otto Kopp took over operation of The Coffee House and ran it until his death in 1954. During the early 1900s important pioneers of American coffee such as Julius Nyman (founder of Nixey's Cafeteria) made their mark in Maple Heights with their innovative methods for roasting beans and brewing espresso drinks like cappuccino or latteAmericano

The first known coffee Bean of Maple Heights, Ohio was beans roasted in 1799 by Nicholas C. Overholt and his wife, Deborah. Coffee beans from this location were sold at the Overholts’ grocery store until 1875. The first coffee house in Maple Heights was opened in 1876 by John Prentice and his wife, Sarah. In 1916, Mabel Dodge bought a small lot on which she built her first roastery named after her mother—Dodge Roastery & Coffee House. In 1928, the name of the business changed to Selvaggia Coffee and Tea Company and later to Selvaggia Coffee Company (now part of Starbucks).
Maple Heights is a city in the U.S. state of Ohio, located on the eastern edge of Youngstown County. The population was 43,951 at the 2010 census, making it the tenth largest city in Youngstown County. Maple Heights is part of the Cleveland–Akron–Canton Metropolitan Statistical Area and is also part of the greater Cleveland metropolitan area. The name "Maple Heights" was given to the community by General James K. Polk during his visit to that area in 1836 as an inducement for settlement by Americans in what had been a British colony. The village site was first surveyed by Colonel John Paulding in 1797 and named after Toronto, Canada's largest town at that time. One early settler, Solomon Brown, mined coal here until 1815 when he moved to points east and abandoned mining because of competition from more recent discoveries there by Robert Miller and others; but Brown's heirs continued mining until 1880 when production ceased due to depletion of coal seams near Fayette Township onontario River which had been discovered earlier than those near Maple Heights (see Onondaga Coal mine). In 1850, about one-third of the township's population lived in Maple Heights; however most residents left or were forced out following an outbreak of smallpox that year which killed many people within three weeks. By 1860 only 8% remained while 23% had moved away; yet even this high percentage only lasted until 1870 when most remaining residents either left or were driven out by violence associated with land claims disputes between rival claimants to some tracts along Cuyahoga River (the so-called "Great Lakes Settlement"). In 1830s two brothers – Elijah Morse and Nicholas Morse – founded what became known as First Baptist Church (later Allentown Baptist Church) here on Shaker Road/East Main Street just west of present day Erie Boulevard/South Euclid Avenue; they raised $6000 over five years from local Quakers through pledges or contributions from their congregation and other individuals before beginning construction on what would eventually become one mile long church with a belfry and 12 pews surmounted by a shingle roof dating back to 1798 includingorsone original floor plan still extant today inside! They immediately began preaching services outdoors under open skies since October 1830 followed soon thereafter by brick building adjacent main sanctuary completed December 5th 1830!! As churches went up throughout northeast Ohio during antebellum America such as Goshen Methodist Episcopal Church where Reverend Amos White officiated services for six months before beheading himself for disobeying authority during frontier conflicts with spirit beings he oversaw these small villages built outside urban areas into significant communities served not only by pastors but schools playgrounds churches hospitals etc characterized themselves quite simply as Places Of Worship service rendered primarily through imaginative parlor discourse upon doctrinal issues moral exhortation religious education circa 1800 !!! maple heights ohio

The community was founded in 1881 and named after Maple Grove, Ontario, Canada. Maple Heights was first mentioned in a deed from John Fenton to Eliza Jane Fenton dated October 7, 1796. On July 10, 1881, the town plat was recorded and it became known as Maple Grove Township. In 1906, Elmira J. Carpenter married Dr. George Wertheimer and they opened their medical office on Main Street in Maple Grove. Maple Heights is a city in and the County seat of Mahoning County, Ohio, United States. The population was 10,541 at the 2010 census. Maple Heights was founded in 1825 by Nicholas Young as a clearing on the Scioto River near what is now North College Avenue. It became an incorporated town in 1868. In 1907, it merged with neighboring Xenia to form the present-day city of Maple Heights.
