Coffee was first brought to Lyndhurst, Ohio in the early 1800s by a Dutchman named Hendrick van den Broeck. He started a small coffee plantation and brewed coffee beans for sale to local merchants and farmers. The first retail store in Lyndhurst was founded in 1824 by Joshua Hardesty. In 1826, John Hays opened the first post office in Lyndhurst. By 1830, there were over twenty businesses operating in town. The population of Lyndhurst increased from about seventy-five people in 1830 to more than one thousand by 1850. During the late 1800s and into the 1900s, coffee became an important part of cultural life in Lyndhurst. Coffee houses and restaurants were common on Main Street during this time period. The popularity of coffee led to many new born businesses such as grocery stores and clothing stores opening up throughout town during this time period. Many residents also started their own businesses such as bakery, cigar shop, hardware store, and milk truck driver service companies during this time period. In 1905, Alfred Benge opened the first post office withinLyndhurst proper with his own printing press. This paved the way for larger businesses to open up within town including banks, insurance companies, hotels/motels etc., which continues through today’s economy There has never been a single business that has not had its hand in directly or indirectly helping shape our modern day economy within our community!

It is a historic site that has been home to many different types of businesses over the years, including a bakery, a clothing store, and now a coffee shop.
Lyndhurst is a town in Medina County, Ohio, United States. The population was 2,521 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Dayton–Middletown–Stroudsburg, OH Micropolitan Statistical Area. Lyndhurst was founded on July 1, 1809 by Captain John Henniker and his wife Deborah (née Brown). The name "Linthurst" was given to it by General George Washington during a visit to the area in 1796. The first post office in Lyndhurst was established on December 12, 1815. In 1825, the town moved from its original location near Beaver Creek to north of Canal Street. A schoolhouse and three dwellings were built in 1830; one became a hotel and two remain today as housing units. In 1850, the Wabash Railroad came through Lyndhurst and started construction of a line westward from Dayton over Beech Grove Road. On November 10 of that year, passengers boarding trains at Lyndhurst Station encountered obstacles caused by heavy rains which had fallen since before the railroad had arrived: puddles lay across the tracks and switches were submerged in water up to their ankles; bridges were washed away; power lines were downed; and trees had been cut down so that they formed barriers between cars and engines. Company workers continued working despite these difficulties while waiting for help from local farmers who could come get the rails mainline off-road so that they could be repaired elsewhere – an event which is still commemorated annually with a parade through Lyndhurst village on Veterans Day weekend. Lyndhurst remained independent until 1865 when it became part of Morrow County under territorial control following Ohio's admission into Union as an official state on January 15th of that year. After being county seat for nine years prior to this change, Morrow County lost its status as an agricultural district when Prohibition began effective February 16th, 1920 – necessitating its re-establishment within Medina County as industrial production increased throughout much of central Ohio during this period due to World War I efforts (the main industries then being agriculture) - but loss of revenue resulted in closure of most businesses within Morrow County by 1924 due to lack of new investment or possible alternative markets outside Medina County for products produced thereabouts (the only other major industry remaining at this time). The last business closed in 1926 after becoming unprofitable because demand for goods created by war effort led prices for many items quadrupled overnight without corresponding increase in sales volume – raising awareness among residents about potential shortages ahead if combat halted hostilities too soon). Lyndhurst has seen steady growth since its incorporation into Medina County c1991 thanks largely to Interstate 75 bypassing town limits making transportation more accessible - although some decline has occurred recently due visible examples such as increasing crime rates aggravated by alcohol prohibition enforcement - with most people working either locally or outside county boundaries instead thereof creating opportunities for entrepreneurship/small business ownerships/repreneurship clusters etc., giving rise to scores upon scores Of small businesses operating out there today including many serving food service industry types!

On July 1, 1920, Lyndhurst became an incorporated town. The first mayor of Lyndhurst was Wm. H. Coulter Jr.. The Lyndhurst school system has been around since 1867 when two schools were built on land donated by Capt James and Mrs Mary Ann Lyndhurst. The original four-room school house still stands today as one of the most historic buildings in the community which houses several classrooms and a gymnasium with orchestra pit and organ loft that has been used for band rehearsal and private functions ever since! Mr Coulter served as Superintendent from 1923 through 1932 In 1965-1966 there was a total population growth of over 50% due to annexation by Clermont Township! In 1973-1974 there was another increase of 25%. This past year (2015) saw a decrease in population due to annexation by Stroudsburg Township but it is projected that this will only grow marginally in population because so much new housing is being built nears or within walking distance of all our schools
